Headhunter, Recruitment advisor and CEO | Helping CIO’s achieve their goals by headhunting top-notch IT Managers and professionals into their organisation
"Hiring is the most important people function you have" according to Laszlo Bock (the former Head of People at Google). Why? A succesfull hiring is the foundation for any company success by e.g. driving growth💰, innovation🚀, fostering a positive work environment 🌞 etc. A well-suited employee isn't just another team member; they're a catalyst for change. From the C-level to the entry level, every role plays a part in steering your organisation toward its goals. However, just as successful hiring can lead to a cascade of positive outcomes, an unsuccessful one can have precisely the opposite effect. A misaligned hire can disrupt the delicate equilibrium, hamper growth, stifle innovation, and sour the work environment. Hiring is more than filling vacancies; it's about carefully selecting the pieces for your organizational puzzle. Laszlo Bock's words ring true – this function is the cornerstone upon which your company's success story is built. So, let's embrace the art of hiring to not just find employees, but to sculpt a thriving, successful, dynamic and prosperous organization 🌟 #peoplematter #ITheadhunter #itrecruiter #recruitment

10 reasons why companies need to hire entry-level talent: (and yes I mean ACTUAL entry-level = no direct experience) 1. They bring bags of energy and enthusiasm – it’s infectious. 2. They’re digital natives – new tech isn’t scary, they can embrace things like AI easily. 3. They’ll get shit done – things move rapidly in their world. 4. They’re super curious – they’ll ask your team questions which spark ideas. 5. New generational perspectives will inspire creativity. 6. Your hiring is low costs for high impact and great future potential. 7. They’ve not been worn down by corporate systems – mindset blockers don’t exist. 8. They’re fun and culture-rich – your team will get a boost. 9. They’re used to working with low budgets and tight deadlines. 10. You’re not hiring for experience – you’re hiring for character, values and potential. I was an entry-level who someone took a chance on. You were an entry-level who someone took a chance on. If you're looking to break into a new industry/role, don't forget how much value you can bring. Hiring managers, don’t forget where you started. Any more to add to the list? #careers #entrylevel #hiring #hiringstrategy

Databricks Product Advisory Board Member & Databricks Beacon | Architect @ Kythera Labs | Technical Advisor to SunnyData
I am actually Ex-Amazon: Program Analyst, Ex-Meta: Logistics Analyst, and even Ex-Chik-Fil-A: Lead Menu Analyst. Here's my journey: Amazon: Make sure you are approached by one of their recruiters, ace that first interview with them, then interview with the hiring manager, and don't get past that stage, just like I did. Meta: Be approached by one of their recruiters on LinkedIn, ace that first interview with them, then interview the hiring manager while trying to be hip like them, and then fail to get past that stage, just like I did. Chik-Fil-A: Have their recruiter reach out to you, interview you, move you to a pre-recorded video round, and then fail to get past that stage, just like I did. Now, you might say "Josue, you didn't actually work at those places" and I will argue that I did. Why? They say time is money, and in my case, I just chose not to charge them for my interviewing time, therefore, it was pro-bono work that I did for them. #satire

Career Coach For Marketing Leaders 🥇 Get Noticed, Interview More Effectively, & Land An Offer That Makes You Say "LFG!" 💰
I've seen a lot of differing opinions on including ex-Google, ex-Amazon, etc. in your LinkedIn headline. Here's my take 👀👇🏻 Those companies have tremendous brand value and notoriously selective hiring processes. As a result, most hiring managers will make the assumption: "If this person got hired at Google, they must be smart and have a certain baseline of competence as an employee." Another way of thinking about it: if someone tells you they went to Harvard, your gut reaction is probably "wow, this person must be smart." The takeaway: if you can include ex-whatever on your profile, you should 💯 You might as well use that company's brand recognition in your favor. To quote the wise words of Lil Wayne: "It ain't trickin if you got it" 🔥🎤
