🌟 Exciting News: Supporting Our Veterans 🌟 We are proud to announce our recent collaboration with Team #6 of Leadership Green Bay in their remarkable initiative alongside Veterans 1st of Northeast Wisconsin. Together, we are dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of veterans facing housing insecurity in our community.   🏡 The Vision: Creating a supportive community for our veterans, the project envisions the construction of 21 cottage homes and a Community Center. This initiative is not just about providing shelter but also about fostering a sense of belonging and support among those who served our country.   🛠 Our Contribution: To aid in the realization of this noble cause, our focus has been on fundraising efforts to construct a carriage house. This essential structure will serve as a central storage facility for tools and materials during the construction phase and later transition to a maintenance and storage hub for the residents and the community.   🤝 Why It Matters: By supporting this project, we're not only contributing to the physical structure of a community but also reinforcing the foundation of support and gratitude for our veterans. It’s time to start saving your Acme receipts again! Donating your receipts to the library makes a substantial impact by helping us distribute books to the community. A collection box is located near the Checkout Desk, or you can drop receipts into our Book Drop. Receipts must be received by February 23, 2025. Here's how it works: The bottom of your Acme receipt lists a Community Cash Back amount. For every receipt you submit, we receive 5% of that total as a donation.

WE ARE NOW LIVE! Every donation is now being DOUBLED while match funds last. Joyce, a mother of two, used to worry everyday about how she would feed her children the healthy food they needed. She told us recently that thanks to Rose Vouchers she can buy them the fruit and veg they need to grow into healthy adults. "For people on a low income, Rose Vouchers mean you can still feed your kids. It’s a lifeline. I can make whole meals out of Rose Vouchers. I like that they give me enough for my family. Sometimes I have some food leftover to save for the next week. We’re so grateful.” Through the Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg project, we don’t just help families to eat, we help them eat well. The benefits are clear, and practical: 🍇 Families’ fruit and veg intake improves by an average of 3 portions a day. 🍋 55% of parents now eat at least 5 portions of fruit & veg a day, up from 15%. 🍎 64% of children now eat at least 5 portions of fruit & veg a day, up from 7%. In the last 12 months, we’ve supported 4,136 families, including over 6,204 children, to buy healthy fresh fruit and veg and avoid food poverty with over £900,000 in Rose Vouchers. That’s a 39% year-on-year increase which we’ve been able to provide thanks to your generosity. But the need is still growing. Despite falling inflation, prices remain stubbornly high, and more people in the UK are experiencing food poverty. Families constantly tell us they simply cannot afford enough fresh fruit and veg for their children to thrive. Our Champions for Children fundraiser is crucial. Every donation, no matter the size, makes an immediate difference. Your donation will be doubled by our match funders.
