They designed an application for her to fill out, created a badge and welcomed her warmly to their team. In a continued effort to promote health and well-being in the communities Children's Health serves, our Health Equity team recently visited Buckner Terrace Montessori for Medical Explorers Day. This fun and informative event gave physicians, nurses and health experts from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to interact one-on-one with elementary school students to get them excited about health and potential medical careers.

Skin-to-skin contact, or Kangaroo Care, benefits not only the baby, but the parent as well. Skin-to-skin helps with growing, bonding and coping for parents and their babies. We encourage Kangaroo Care with our annual Kangaroo-A-Thon event held in our Level IV NICU to educate and give parents the resources they need to make lives better for their kids. https://bit.ly/3yYbqyA

Registration for the next cohort of Behavioral Health Integration and Guidance (BHIG) Initiative is now live. BHIG was developed through years of collaborative planning, with the goal of redirecting where and when mental and behavioral health conditions in youth are detected and treated.
