Architecture and design have often become the driving force behind new spaces where people can live new experiences. Many of these new spaces are located in remote, previously unthinkable, and often incredible places. Designed by More Architecture and located three hours from Shanghai, the Floating Hotel is a structure that fosters an immersive relationship with the surrounding natural environment. The hotel features a large and striking roof reminiscent of traditional Chinese architecture, designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding mountains. Looking back on a successful CEO Partners event – September 2024, Netherlands 🙏 🇳🇱 Last week we had the privilege of hosting an inspiring CEO Partners event in the Netherlands and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! Over the course of two days we had meaningful discussions, explored innovative solutions and connected with likeminded leaders committed to sustainability and the circular economy. ♻ ⚡ Some key highlights from the event: - Enschede Textielstad gave us a first-hand look at sustainable fabric production and presented the future of eco-friendly textiles. 👚 - We visited Human Office where we saw the processes involved in furniture refurbishment that breathed new life into existing resources. ⤴ - At De Vorm we explored cutting-edge designs for sustainable furniture and interiors, setting a new standard for the industry. ✅ - A tour at Gemeente Utrecht administration highlighted the importance of human-centered office solutions and how municipalities are introducing sustainable workspaces. 🏢 - We rounded off our discussions with an evening visit to the Green House restaurant in Utrecht, a beacon for circular gastronomy and sustainable business practices. 🥦 The event underlined the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving sustainable change. High-speed in style. Ever since I experienced the new high-speed trains in Japan (reaching speeds of over 300 km/h), I have been even more attracted to this mode of transportation. Design has finally found its way into this product category, and, it seems, so has the level of service. It is worth noting that investments in this direction are significantly increasing in many countries around the world, with a positive impact on environmental sustainability as well. As reported by Nate Berg on FastCompany, in Denmark, the new high-speed trains draw inspiration from the mix of large and small cities, with direct references to their classic midcentury design and the embrace of the cozy concept of "hygge." They are intended to embody the essence of Danish culture. Designed by the Copenhagen-based design studio Johannes Torpe Studios, these new trains represent an elegant combination of subtle ambient lighting, seats that offer both privacy and comfort, and a material palette directly inspired by the Danish landscape. These trains serve the dual purpose of connecting high-speed segments between Denmark's few large cities and covering shorter distances between the country's diverse range of towns and villages. At first relatively long time ago this new product idea sounded like something that was completely impossible to achieve. Almost every component is similar to what has been already in production for years (and no changes to those parts were allowed). And then there were these nice 3D renderings of visually appealing additions that needed to be transformed into actual parts. Plus strong emphasis on user safety etc. First thought was: there is no way we can achieve that! But I know better not to say anything like that out loud. If I remember correctly, my initial comment was "I'll see what can be done". Second thought bit later on was: What if it is not impossible? Where do we have room for adjustment and trying different approaches? Luckily I know places where I can go asking for general ideas and prototype manufacturing both at the same time. Adjusting details while parts are being manufactured etc. After the first prototypes I knew it was doable. The workshop had made bit similar parts for their tool storing solutions already. As usual a lot of optimism and more minor setbacks but when the whole team works together, all it takes is time and effort. And now it is reality.

Our focus extends to style, branding, functionality, and the communication of brand values, with a primary emphasis on enhancing the quality of work life for the collaborators. On Running, the sportswear brand, tasked M Moser with redesigning its Shanghai office to adapt to the changing needs during this period of market expansion. The project aims to create a space that integrates the brand's identity with Shanghai's local culture, emphasizing the spirit of running throughout the workspace. There are creative zones, meeting areas, product zones, and concentration zones, all themed to create serene and welcoming environments for employees.
