A great report highlighting the key factors affecting the health and wellbeing of communities. The consistent themes identified form the basis and objectives of the Integrated Wellbeing Network. A team of people with extensive knowledge and experience in working with communities to minimise health inequalities. With varying skill sets that can only come from being in our communities and building effective partnerships. Fingers crossed this is the start of a long awaited shift in practice, recognising the huge importance of prevention and early intervention. #prevention #communitydevelopment #marmotprinciples

Important read. I appreciate the work IONS is doing in this sector!
"With the work we do and who feels called to respond to collective needs, the Community Impact Sector is one in need of constant healing. In a burnt out, highly gendered, racialized, and underpaid sector – access to holistic care becomes even more important." November's blog, "Put Your Oxygen Mask on First: Discussing Health Benefits in a Caring Sector", written by Lydia Phillip with Clary Chambers focuses on the importance of preventative care in a diverse, overlooked sector. Lydia and Clary highlight actions organizations can take toward providing their team with comprehensive benefits, and break down some key points to better equip employees in advocating for themselves and their wellbeing at work.
