Obligatory AI post because I'm cutting edge. Enjoy! Seriously tho, this is interesting to watch develop and consider implementing in my own company. "...to go from [a] sketch, to a list of parts, to construction, there is a long list of considerations before there’s an actionable plan to construct." ^^^I believe the pre-construction phase for builders will be dramatically shaped by AI in the next several years. I don't know exactly how or if this will lower building costs by much, but the speed of job-readiness will vastly accelerate! We live in interesting times. https://lnkd.in/gf-nrg9e

AI hasn’t made huge advancements in the real estate sector due to the astronomical amounts of unorganized data, the highly physical nature of the industry, and the immense training it entails. However, that’s not to say a bright future is ahead and there are already useful implementations. Multiple platforms currently exist aimed to assist with enhancing task completion efficiency, predicting building maintenance needs, and increasing available data accessibility. These opportunities may be in their infancy stages for residential use, but commercial utilization has made even further progress. #RealEstate #AI

I had the pleasure of talking to Fortune about AI in the homebuilding process. 🌟As we see AI tools proliferate this year in the industry, the key to getting value out of them lies in the people 😀 and processes ⚙. From training to redesigning how tasks get done, the value comes from the reinvention of the work - not the parachuting of new tools onto a process that stays the same. It is never just technology! 👷♀️🏗️📐Real Estate is complex industry with many stakeholders - agents and brokers, title and escrow, mortgage, local governments officials, architects and engineers, builders, and many more. The ecosystem needs to adopt tools in concert across stakeholders and be open to processes transforming 🐛➡🦋 . Value will require the reinvention of processes often viewed as "sacred" and untouchable. The industry has to be unafraid to question if an activity that has been done for 50 years really has to be done that way just because it looked like that historically; it has to ask ❓"why?"❓. 👨👨👧👧🏡 Most importantly, when it comes to homebuilding - or any area of real estate - you cannot build the process without the end user. Ultimately, the industry is about creating and matching people to places they can live some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. That can be stressful. That can be energizing and joyful. Designing AI and how it comes to life against the ups and downs of that user experience is essential. AI should serve to elevate the times where human touch matters and be conscious of the overall experience of the users at the center of the journey. https://lnkd.in/e_NUFhim

Could AI technology be the key to more personable real estate agents?" Get ready to rethink your perceptions of artificial intelligence as Ryan Serhant, star of the hit reality TV show "Owning Manhattan", suggests a game-changing approach. Higher efficiency, more profound human connections - too good to be true? Not anymore! According to Serhant, AI holds untapped potential in revolutionizing relationship dynamics between homebuyers, sellers and real estate agents. With its capacity for personalizing interactions based on data-backed insights, fading out the robotic indifference commonly associated with its name is possible. AI also innovates streamlined processes - optimizing task management while giving room for agents to focus on interactions that truly matter – cultivating strong relationships. Property hunting can be exhausting. Therein lies where empathetic understanding and proactivity from an AI-assisted agent could alleviate some of that stress- imagine a tailored property matchmaking experience! While skeptics may question replacing human touch with algorithms’ precision, consider this: what if we're looking at a synergetic adoption instead? Suppose machine learning can equip agents with accurate analytics fostering better decision-making skills while still retaining their inherent emotional intelligence? We all appreciate when someone takes time knowing what we like or need without lengthy explanations - comfortingly similar to dealing with our loved ones. Perhaps it’s time for us accept and anticipate this futuristic intimacy in professional transactions too? Let's delve deeper into this unexplored alliance between technology and personal touch – because at end of day isn’t successful real estate about matching hearts (needs) to homes?
