🚨 A guide to what happens when a person is missing long-term 🚨 🔹 If a person has remained missing for 28 days a police review will be conducted. These are continued at 3, 6 and 12 month stages. 🔹 If all avenues of enquiry have been explored the case will in most instances be then reviewed on an annual basis. 🔹 If new important information is brought forward police will automatically review the case at this point. 🔹 In most cases the person in question is found or returned home in a short period of time. In rare cases the person remains missing long-term, and families should be updated by police on the investigation.
