#InspireInclusion, the guiding theme for this year’s #InternationalWomensDay, tasks us to focus on how we can drive greater inclusion for women in industries like Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics where they’re historically underrepresented. When we understand and value women's inclusion — and inspire those around us to do the same — we forge a better world. Through many initiatives across Canada, Thales demonstrates its commitment to fostering inclusion in our workplaces. For example, in partnership with L3 Technologies Canada, Babcock Canada Inc., General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada and CAE Canada, in 2019 Thales launched the Canadian Industrial Leadership Award, which offers financial support, mentorship & employment opportunities for women in the aerospace, maritime, defence and security industries. In addition, we’re long-term supporters of Women in Defence and Security (WiDS), which recognizes and supports female excellence in Canadian defence. Thales also provides mentorship through Technovation – an entrepreneurship competition meant to inspire young girls pursuing #STEM education. Here’s to making continued, collective efforts to build a more inclusive tomorrow. #IWD2024
