NYC Health + Hospitals just announced that nearly 14,000 patients have received behavioral health care through its telehealth service, Virtual ExpressCare, since the program launched in 2022. This service is available 24/7, in over 200 languages, and helps patients with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, substance use disorders, withdrawal, and emotional distress. Virtual ExpressCare could be a great tool for care managers to share with their clients during times of crisis while waiting for an intake appointment for ongoing care. It's amazing to see how technology is making mental health care more accessible and convenient.
