🌍 It’s time to make a difference! According to the World Health Organization, at least 50% of the world lacks access to safe, affordable, and timely healthcare. Many rural and remote areas still lack basic medical facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and primary care centers, positioning us in a place from which we must take action. As a member of @Siemens Healthineers, we understand the urgency of this global challenge and we take our responsibility seriously. That is why we’re committed to ensuring quality healthcare is accessible to all. Being advocates for change, we provide low- and middle-income countries end-to-end solutions, from screening and diagnosis to therapy and follow-up, for better management of infectious and non-communicable diseases like #Cancer, #Stroke or #CardiovascularDiseases, among others. In this way, we contribute to help countries healthcare providers increase access for patients and address challenges around affordability, availability, and acceptability. On the #WorldHealthDay, I would love to encourage you to join our mission of bringing healthcare to everyone, everywhere and in a sustainable way, in order not only to advance in the universal health coverage but also to drive global development towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 in terms of health and well-being. #AccessToCare https://lnkd.in/dS6dYzGs

"To kick off the near year, UW Health is sharing key #workforce, financial, care and #community benefit outcomes and metrics for the #health system. Despite the many challenges facing #healthcare providers, UW Health is coming off a very strong year, according to Alan S. Kaplan, MD, CEO, UW Health. 'Our vision at UW Health is providing remarkable care to our patients and our community,' he said. 'Our more than 24,000 providers and staff made that vision a reality for a record number of patients over the last year.' 'Demand for care at UW Health is high and growing. Patient care levels are not only back to pre-pandemic levels, but greater than them in many cases, according to Dr. Peter Newcomer, chief operating officer, UW Health.'" Milestones achieved in 2023 include the UW Carbone Cancer Center becoming the first #breastcancer #vaccine clinical trial site to administer the vaccine to a participant.
