Canada Day, marks the joyous anniversary of Canada's confederation in 1867 and it is a day that brings Canadians together. For Indigenous communities, Canada Day has historically been a complex occasion, reflecting on the colonial past and its impacts. However, there's an inspiring and growing movement towards reconciliation and healing. This journey is encouraging collaboration and mutual respect, acknowledging the rich contributions of Indigenous cultures and perspectives of what Canada is. Today, there is optimism and hope as efforts are made to honor Indigenous voices, support their sovereignty, and celebrate their traditions alongside all Canadians. This shared commitment to a brighter, inclusive future is transforming Canada Day into a celebration where everyone can come together with joy and respect. Companies like CIC Inspection & Consulting Ltd. are contributing to this positive future by promoting inclusive practices and supporting diverse communities. If this guy ever had to go out and purchase groceries, he might consider all the farmers harvesting the food in his cart, that have to pay carbon tax to grow and harvest our food. Then the trucking companies that deliver the food must buy gas with a carbon tax associated with each item increasing their costs. Canadian consumer's cost of a trip to the grocery store has more than doubled in the last three years. Then everyone in this country needs to heat their homes it hurts common Canadians every day. Why don't we eliminate carbon pricing it is not reducing worldwide emissions it only reduces Canadian emissions. Focus on research and development inside our Canadian Energy companies to find alternative energies and deliver the cleanest possible energy to the world. That will do more for the environment, the people of this great country, and the world. Canada needs more clean Canadian oil and gas. Every company that I deal with daily is concerned about the well-being of their employees and about the well-being of our world's environment! Trudeau you just don't get it, (it is not about a sweet UN posting into your retirement) what you are doing is harming everyone in this country and not helping the Environment. Get rid of him.
The difference is clear: while Pierre Poilievre wants to take Canada backward, we’ll keep Canada moving forward – for everyone.

Indigenous peoples in Canada have made invaluable contributions that have shaped our country's cultural heritage, environmental stewardship, and social fabric. Their rich and diverse cultures, languages, and traditions are integral to Canada's identity. Indigenous peoples have enriched our society in countless ways, from the creation of intricate artwork and crafts to the preservation of traditional knowledge and languages. Their deep connection to the land has led to sustainable land management practices that benefit not only their communities but also the broader environment. Indigenous peoples have also played a vital role in Canada's history, serving as skilled hunters, traders, and diplomats. Their resilience in the face of colonization and their ongoing efforts to preserve their cultures and traditions are a testament to their strength and perseverance. As we celebrate National Indigenous History Month, let us honour and recognize the contributions of Indigenous peoples and commit to learning from their wisdom and experiences. Together, we can build a more inclusive and respectful future for all Canadians. #NIPD2024, #NationalIndigenousHistoryMonth, #IndigenousContributions, #aspengrovecounselling

Canada Day: Reimagining Our Shared Future On this Canada Day, we stand at a crossroads of history and possibility. Today, we honor not just a nation, but a vision of what we can become. First and foremost, we acknowledge the Indigenous peoples - First Nations, Métis, and Inuit - whose ancestral lands we occupy. Their millennia of stewardship, wisdom, and resilience form the true foundation of this country. As allies, our role is clear: 1. Listen deeply to Indigenous voices 2. Learn our shared history - both triumphs and tragedies 3. Act decisively for justice and reconciliation This Canada Day, I challenge you: • Identify the traditional territories you're on (native-land.ca) • Support an Indigenous-led organization in your community • Commit to one concrete action advancing reconciliation in your sphere of influence True patriotism isn't about flags or fireworks. It's about fostering a nation where every person's dignity is upheld, where historical wrongs are addressed, and where diverse cultures flourish side by side. The path forward isn't always easy, but it's necessary. It requires courage to confront uncomfortable truths, humility to learn, and determination to create change. So today, let's celebrate not what Canada has been, but what it can become. A country that truly honors its First Peoples, embraces its diversity, and leads globally in justice and reconciliation. What's your commitment to this vision of Canada? #ReconciliationIsPersonal #EveryChildMatters #DecolonizeCanadaDay Together, we can transform this day from a celebration of the past into a powerful catalyst for a more just and inclusive future.

On this Canada’s day, I pledge to re-dedicate myself to the work of building a better future in my adopted country for the multiple generations that follow. We already know what the problems are. And we also know the solutions. But knowledge is just table stakes. This is a time for us to take action. We must hold our policy makers to account. We must hold ourselves to account. For leaders to lead. We must speak out with the courage of our convictions, embrace the boldness to take the path less traveled and commit to the heavy lifting over the long haul, to solve for the "wicked problems" that we all share. Past is not prologue - we must partner with our entrepreneurs to harness our knowledge and economic growth engines. Back solutions to climate change, modernize municipal infrastructure and adopt transformational advances in AI pioneered right here in Canada. Ultimately, to inspire Canada as a multi-generational destination for the talent, ingenuity and capital that is required to reverse our freefall in productivity and to underwrite sustainable prosperity for all Canadians.
