Ask any sales or marketing professional… Launching new products and building new territories is not easy. Over a year ago my husband, Dean Peaple , joined this company to launch a new division of window coverings. Through operations and production challenges, changes in leadership and the minimal marketing support common with ‘startups’ - my husband never gave up! I have watched him be tenacious and creative, using common sense, guerilla tactics, and teamwork- always finding a way. I know the road is long, - and I admire my husbands patience and perseverance. Playing for this team has been more than just a personal achievement; it's been a unique set of opportunities and learnings in collaboration, management, leadership, strategy, and execution—skills I use into my professional life every day. As captain and manager for the team, I've worked to foster a culture of excellence and resilience, both on the pitch and in the operations of the club. From arranging partnership and sponsorship deals to ensuring affordability for our players, these experiences have required the same strategic thinking and results-driven mindset that I bring to the business world. My journey with Yataghan FC also mirrors my entrepreneurial path with Catch of Norway Seafood. I built a B2B #marketplace for fresh premium seafood in a complicated market, adding D2C e-commerce model from scratch, expanded direct home deliveries to five cities, and scaled logistics to serve customers across India. Whether leading a soccer team to victory or driving supply chain efficiencies for fresh seafood & meat delivery, the principles are the same: ✅ Building, teaching, and motivating high-performing teams ✅ Identifying growth opportunities and executing with precision ✅ Taking calculated risks, budgeting for these risks, and then stepping back out through the door if required and moving on ✅ Focusing on customer (or fan!) satisfaction at every stage As I look toward my next professional chapter, I am eager to bring this blend of leadership, strategy, and operational expertise to a company that values innovation, teamwork, and customer obsession. Another consolidation event in the CPG brokerage industry... 🙄 As brands today are seeking high-value strategic broker partners who can provide significant customer expertise and more importantly the ability and the capacity to deliver on expectations, we continue to see the large national brokerage firms march down the path of consolidation - a direction that over the last decade has proven to push brands *away* from this model and towards more customer-focused, best-in-market brokers. I, for one, welcome our consolidated broker overlords.... One thing I know for certain is that brands want (and need) a broker they can trust; a partner that can help solve pain-points and remove the obstacles impeding their growth - a broker that will fight for their business everyday as if it were their own. but what do I know 🤷♂️

A couple of thoughts on this huge news in the retail level services landscape: There is now a vacuum for one of the large brokerage companies outside the current top four (soon to be top three) to fill a major void for their brands and new clients if they offer retail level services in addition to headquarters calls. Who will be the first to step up? Will brands that felt they were underserved with retail level services by these organizations before be further pushed down in importance with this merger? For the past five years, Stuart (a store associate at TAU) and I have turned our business relationship into something extraordinary. Stuart took over (and began managing) our account 3 years ago, Since then, every week, I personally hand-deliver his Mid-Day Squares order. But there's a twist— We always have a dance-off in the grocery aisles! This isn't just a quirky ritual; it's the cornerstone of our friendship. We decided to treat business as a friendship first and a transaction second. This approach has exploded our sales at Les Marches TAU. Customers know us as the "Dynamic Duo" or the "Great Duo," eagerly anticipating our weekly dance. The joy and camaraderie we share have made work energizing and engaging. We've realized that by focusing on building genuine relationships, we've not only had more fun but also seen a remarkable increase in sales. The moral of the story? Fuel: Caseys prices its stores slightly lower than direct competitors while CEFCO is much more aggressive pricing its pumps nearly 6cts/gal below its competitors, according to OPIS . People: Despite reducing labor costs over the past two years, Casey’s has seen a rise in Gallup scores. By streamlining tasks and embracing innovation, they are improving employee satisfaction and productivity. Customers: With 40% of Casey’s transactions driven by Casey's Rewards, they are leading the industry in customer engagement. Price: With a 41.2% margin, many brands won’t be able to compete with Casey’s on price, and instead will need to lean into differentiating experiences and/or products.
