Educational Leader Passionate About Making the Words all Students Mean ALL Students and Learning Non-Negotiable
Do your classrooms follow this process? Engage preconceptions/misconceptions, active learning/metacognition. And in terms of progression: 1- knowledge retrieval 2- comprehension 3- analysis 4- knowledge utilization/application. Metacognition must occur throughout.
We see #SchoolLeaders transforming education–gaining a richer understanding of how students learn. Discover how the National Institute for School Leadership #NISL supports districts on this transformative journey: https://lnkd.in/gGvUavjq 📸 : Dr. Addonica Stanley, EdD ALHAMBRA UNIFIED SCHOOL DST.

Without that, you can have niches of success, but you can’t have the broad success you need to help students.” - Debbie Barnes-Pyler, Chair, Grayson College Board of Trustees Read the full Grayson College story at rb.gy/ombyjd to learn how Trustees and President Jeremy McMillen are providing leadership for student success. #AllinforTexasSuccess #SuccessStartsHere #StudentSuccess

While the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins V) makes no mention of educator diversity initiatives on the state level, it does require states to use their leadership funding for recruiting, preparing or retaining CTE teachers through preservice, professional development or leadership development programs. Locally, Perkins funds recipients are required to use funds to support professional development of the educator workforce and are permitted to use funds to support recruitment and retention activities and must consider teacher diversity as part of the comprehensive local needs assessment (CLNA). Combined, the state-level leadership funds and local Perkins funds can create more opportunities for recruiting Career Technical Education (CTE) teachers that are demographically representative of the learners they serve. To explore more ways to fund and develop a CTE teacher pipeline, check out State and Local Strategies for Diversifying the CTE Educator Workforce https://lnkd.in/eR9hj2Zm
