Since I started my journey in law, I've always been passionate about Colorado workers' compensation law. It's how I started, and it's likely how I'll come down the home stretch, so to speak. I'm excited to announce that I'm adding this practice area, and we're open for business. Reach out if you have any referrals, want to co-counsel, or just have questions about this area of law. #workcomp #coloradolaw #workcompwednesday #injurylaw #workinjury #coloradoworkcomp #coloradoworkerscompensation

What do the top law firms pay for their lawyers in Exeter?! Recently, I've had a number of people have been in touch with me to ask about salaries across the Southwest. It's something that people ask me on a semi-regular basis, for which I'm always happy to provide an update. If you're considering your career options within the Southwest's legal market and would like to hear what other firms offer, in terms of salaries, benefits and general work appeal, please get in touch for a confidential chat! #solicitor #CILEx #Lawyer #jobs #Exeter #Plymouth

I enjoyed every bit of my stay ... (working in a law firm) While working as an administrative assistant in a law firm for over 5 years, I was exposed to a legal world so to speak. I gained exposure to different areas of law, from corporate law to family law. It was a fascinating experience! In the course of my job, I picked up a lot of legal jargon along the way, like when a case is adjourned sine die, case starting denovo, a case having locus standi, ex parte motion etc. While this doesn't make me a legal expert but understanding those terms made it easier for me to communicate with lawyers and paralegals. I developed some practical legal skills such as drifting legal documents(with lawyer's overnight) - Deed of conveyance, Motion on Notice, Affidavit, Memorandum of understanding (MOU) and conducting preliminary legal research. They have lots of paperwork, oh my goodness! I made sure I organized them, categorized and made them retrievable at all times. I learnt a strong work ethic and time management. I prioritized tasks, managed multiple deadlines, and worked efficiently under pressure. Overtime, I was no longer working in the office, my work expanded to attending to court, getting daily court proceedings, and summarizing it as a report… I enjoyed the years I worked with them and I also learnt the need to document whatever dealings you have with someone. Because there would be a need for EVIDENCE one day! #administrativeassistant #legalvirtualassistant #executivevirtualassistant #paralegal

Florida is joining Texas in blocking local rules for worker heat safety. A new law, effective as of today, prevents cities like Miami-Dade from setting their own heat-protection measures.
