In my opinion, officers should be paid an enormous amount of money, which is why I am not a city manager; my talents are better suited to law enforcement. Money is undoubtedly important as it provides stability and comfort. The salary you receive at the Ankeny Police Department will provide that stability and comfort. However, being paid well is only a small part of the job and cannot match the emotional, physical, and mental currency you will invest into the profession.   We are seeking individuals who will contribute positively to our culture, and help us maintain a successful, positive, and safe work environment. We want people who understand what they are getting into. Law enforcement is a different kind of job. On patrol, you won't get every other weekend off. Work/life balance is very important to our department, and we make every effort to make sure you achieve that balance. Recognizing true good healthcare workers they did all they had to do to keep us safe from dying from the COVID-19 pandemic. Just imagine, living in a truthful world what do you know who you’re speaking to is not going to be lying to you wouldn’t that be wonderful? There is only one home for humanity from today going forward that is to live. Truthfully, we’re vanish living in a crap world, where only the evil doers dictators. Thank you for all the true good deeds you do even when you work so much to keep us safe. Have a true good day managing life’s good and bad daily events while you risk your life to keep us from dying. Let us take a moment to unpack what’s happening in Washington state. In recent years, they have been passing one piece of legislation after another that favors the criminal and restricts law enforcement in their ability to do their job. If you follow the news, you know that many cities like Seattle are in significant staffing declines and they cannot fill officer vacancies. Here is a newsflash for the state of Washington: funding additional positions isn’t going to solve the problem. You can’t hire additional officers if the ones already on the job are leaving at record numbers. If they want to get serious about addressing crime problems, they need to elect new policymakers who will pass legislation in support of law enforcement instead of criminals. It’s that simple.
