Since 2019, any Michigan registered voter, regardless of age or reason, can submit an absentee application. An absentee ballot application can be mailed to voters by any entity-individuals, political parties, local or county clerks, secretaries of state, etc. This is NOT a ballot. It is simply the application form that is sent to the local clerk to request an absentee ballot be sent so the voter can vote by mail in the upcoming election. The clerk will then go through the standard process of verifying the requesting person is registered and eligible to vote in that location and that no other ballots have been issued to the voter. Only then will an actual ballot be mailed to the voter at the appropriate time for the election.

The professional election officials in Florida and elsewhere are 100% right about these misdirected efforts to hand-count ballots. Contrary to the claims made by legislators here, every single study confirms that hand-counting is the LEAST accurate way to count ballots, and it takes much longer. And the extra time it takes to count ballots will likely be used by election losers to spread disinformation and perhaps incite violence. https://lnkd.in/gybvtzHk

Amidst the hullabaloo and cacophony of election results and exit polls analysis. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the conduct of the world's largest election which is the cornerstone of this democracy. With more than 600 MILLION voter turnout, The Indian election - the largest of its kind in the world is in the corporate parlance Program Management in its finest. Some of the highlights being: 1. The Team: Over 11 MILLION officials and security personnel were deployed to manage the entire process efficiently. 2. Simplification of processes: A relatively simple online procedure to register and secure the election card. Doorstep delivery along with a election manual containing polling center details, booth numbers, directions etc. 3. Robust governance: To accommodate this massive turnout, more than a MILLION polling booths were setup and significant efforts were made to ensure that no voter had to travel more than two kms to reach a polling station. 4. Awareness: Massive Campaigns across media urging people to come out and vote. 5. Dedicated and Diligent Team: Travelling to remote parts of the country and braving the harsh weather conditions (Not all polling stations had great infrastructure and ACs) All in all, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the members who were involved. It's not easy working for a client/project where the scope for error is next to zero, and there is high visibility of the management. So once again kudos and thank you for executing this massive exercise and reinstating our faith in the democratic process. Is there anything that I missed? What do you think of the process and what can be done better? #electionexchange #loksabhaelectionresult

Election denial is a problem nationwide. In 47 states, at least one Election Denier has run for or held a statewide office with election powers since 2021. In fact, more than 180 Election Deniers have run for these positions. And they’re back on the ballot in 2024. That’s why we’re launching dynamic, real-time tracking of Election Deniers. And we’re covering multiple layers of government. Voters can finally see the full picture, so we can fight back against this movement everywhere we find it. #SUAction https://lnkd.in/gjk_yta8
