⚙️⚡Tech Tuesday - Electrical Vehicle Charge Points⚡⚙️ 👷♂️ Are you covered? 🚗 ➡️📃Guardian Feasibility Study - Power Mains Analysis Before installing any electric vehicle charge points, it’s essential to assess the current electrical installation to ensure it can handle the additional power needed for charging an electric vehicle effectively. Guardian can organise a visit your site to conduct a 7-day assessment of your power supply. This data will help you make informed decisions about EV charge points and determine how many your current installation can support, or if you require additional work to your electrical infrastructure to accommodate the installation of EV points. ➡️📃Inspection & Testing of Charge Points A standard EICR may not cover any charge points on site. This means that once your 3-year warranty expires, the vendors responsibility ends and your EV chargers may never get tested as they don't provide inspection & testing, leaving the Duty Holder responsible if any issues arise. 📅A 12-month frequency has been classed as a minimal time between I&T, this may change due to the usage of the system. Our service line has been designed specifically for the periodic I&T of EV charge points and uses specialist equipment. If you require more information on any of these services, please do not hesitate to contact Guardian Electrical today. ☎️ 0114 257 2080 📧 evse-team@guardianelectrical.co.uk

I have been forced by Shane Arnold to post this picture. But I like Shane. On the right side you can see the new Fronius Verto inverter. To the left you can see me. Below are some facts about “us”: Verto Power class 25 to 33kW Me: 100W to 1500W Verto: 4 MPPTs Me: maybe 1 MPPT Verto MPPT voltage range: 150 to 870V DC Me: 1 to 9V DC Verto max DC input voltage: 1000V Me: 9V Verto cooling system: Active cooling Me: Passive cooling Verto IP rating: IP66 Me: IP54 I think the Verto is a clear winner and we are excited to see this inverter in Australia soon-ish.

Advanced Current Monitors for Domestic EV Charging Installations The CDSR series of accurate but cost-effective Type B residual current monitors from LEM has been expanded to provide engineers with more operational scope. They can now be supplied with fault output, SPI bus and analogue output options. As a result, the AC wall box installations and charging cables used to support electric vehicles (EVs) will be able to benefit from greater levels of safety and reliability. Leveraging LEM’s proprietary take on Fluxgate technology, the current monitors have a major role to play in curbing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and extending the operational lifespan of EV charging equipment, as well as proving invaluable insight from a preventive maintenance perspective. These devices can determine current leakages going down to just 5mA. They are suitable for use in... 2moOur channel is starting to working with some regional and nationwide wholesale houses soon to bring in new clients using our #1 channels for electrical contractors and those that dream of becoming one, by sharing the importance of having a great relationship with your suppliers. Some may think electrician channels are the way to get more sales instead of focusing on the electrical contractors which I would argue is the base that companies should be reaching. Yes one has greater numbers, (electricians) but the other has greater buying power (electrical contractors). Would love to have a conversation about that with your social/marketing team some day and see how we can fit in a win-win relationship.
