High Resolution Scopes Leveraging 14-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) and advanced custom processing chip technology, Keysight Technologies has just introduced the InfiniiVision HD3 series of oscilloscope units. Aimed at carrying out debug work, they have a noise floor of just 50µVRMS, thus enabling very small signal glitches/anomalies to be identified. 1GHz bandwidths are covered and a 1.3M waveforms/s update rate is supported. Other key attributes include the automatic fault hunter software, a 100Mpt deep memory and an intuitive human-machine interface. According to Robert Saponas… READ MORE https://lnkd.in/eYK5wvzd Paraic Delahunt Sarah Calnan Gautam Awasthi Jenny Gallacher Cheryl Ajluni Lan LIU Grace V. Patrizia Pautasso

Switching & Simulation Hardware for Avionics Usage Preparation for this year’s Aerospace Test & Development Show (10th to 11th September, Toulouse, France) are now underway. Situated at Stand 622 in Hall 7, Pickering Interfaces will use this event to highlight its PXI/PXIe-based modular instrumentation - covering advanced signal switching and simulation solutions. There will be an aerospace-oriented switching and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) sensor simulation demonstration. This will consist of a PXIe full hybrid chassis with PXIe embedded controller, along with sensor simulation, switching and interfacing modules. In addition, there will be a high channel count 40GHz bandwidth microwave multiplexer on display. “At Pickering, we know that aerospace electronics engineers have unique testing needs driven by demanding requirements around long operating life, high reliability, and hostile environmental conditions,” states Steve Edwards, Pickering’s... Scope-Like Data Visualisation Functions To improve the data analysis capabilities of its popular SystemView real-time embedded system behaviour monitoring platform, SEGGER Microcontroller has now included a DataPlot window. Through this, users will be able to record and visualise custom data samples over time. The inspection of variable data provides an effective means of verifying how an embedded system is functioning. By using the new DataPlot feature incorporated into SystemView, this variable data can be recorded alongside key runtime information events. The data is then rendered in scope-like graphs, which are synchronised with SystemView's Timeline and CPU Load windows. “SystemView is a unique tool for understanding exactly what is happening in an embedded system, tracing interrupts, task switches, API calls and other user events with cycle accuracy, typically better than 5ns,” states Johannes Lask.. How Big Data is Advancing Automotive Radar Testing By Keng Fai Loong & Vijai Krishna Reddy Pereddy - Keysight Technologies In the rapidly evolving automotive technology landscape, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) implementations have now become an almost ubiquitous part of modern vehicles. At the heart of ADAS is automotive radar, a critical function that scans the road, detects obstacles and enables split-second safety decisions. Ensuring the flawless performance of radar sensors is of upmost importance - which is where end-of-line (EoL) testing plays a pivotal role. EoL testing is paramount to the radar manufacturing process. It’s the final checkpoint before radar modules are installed - ensuring radar sensors are calibrated correctly, aligned accurately and will function as they should. Field-of-view (FoV) tests are performed to... READ MORE https://lnkd.in/ef_hP23Q Paraic Delahunt Sarah Calnan Cheryl Ajluni Jenny Gallacher Patrizia Pautasso Andrea Dodini Grace V.
