Helping HR and L&D professionals demonstrate ROI through dynamic management development programmes. We capture data and evidence instead of meaningless scores.
💡 I’m often asked for advice by newly established associate trainers which I still find slightly strange as even though I’ve been working at Phoenix for over 25 years, I don’t always consider myself an expert! That said, I thought it would be useful to share the four key things I find myself highlighting: 1. Never try and deliver something you’re not genuinely expert in. Find someone who can do it better and introduce them to your client. 2. Stick to your guns in terms of group size and format. A bigger group in a shorter time is superficially better ‘value’ but at what cost to the quality of the learning. 3. Always remember that 90% of the time, the training is rarely as important to your clients as it is to you. Be patient, don’t hound them and get ready to respond brilliantly during the 10%. 4. Don’t be afraid to walk away if it doesn’t feel right. Turning down business is never easy but by doing so, you’ll probably avoid a whole load of pain in the future. What advice or guidance do you offer new associate trainers?

Hey, fellow trainers! 👋 Let's talk about something that often goes unsaid but needs to be addressed: the bad habit of undermining our expertise during corporate training sessions. 🚀 Pro Tip: Stop saying you're "bad at explaining things." 🛑 As corporate trainers, understandably, explaining complex concepts is literally our bread and butter! 💼💡 When we vocalize self-doubt about our ability to explain, we inadvertently diminish our credibility and sow seeds of doubt in our learners' minds. Instead, let's embrace our role as experts and confidently deliver the knowledge and insights our participants need to succeed. 💪 Remember, effective communication is a skill that can be honed through practice and feedback. So, commit to your own continuous improvement and approach each training session with confidence and conviction. ✨ Let's hear it from you! How do you overcome self-doubt and deliver impactful training sessions? Share your tips and experiences in the comments below! Self Talk When you see a posting that says, ' Required trainer.....per day remuneration is Rs. 50,000/-, what does your inner voice say? " It's not meant for me" or " Some day I too will command this price". The impact that self talk has can never be measured. There are people who would say I will win the world but self talk is not that positive and after some time they get exhausted. For all trainers, what kind of self talk you have about the training projects and the impact you would create will shape the reality of your life. If you find that you have negative self talk either look at your belief system or meet your mentor to understand on how you can create a positive frame of mind. #learnersconclave #softskills #corporatetraining
