Do you, or anyone you know, work with groups of people in Aldershot and Farnborough to improve lives and help make things better for others? Rushmoor Borough Council are once more awarding grants of up to £1,000 to not-for-profit organisations that work with groups of people in our towns to make a real difference to people’s lives and help bring communities together. The deadline for applications for the second round of grants is 12 February 2024. Their priority is to support small, local projects within a ward or the whole borough which either connect people, improve physical or mental health such as providing equipment for clubs or groups or events for residents, provide aspirations for young people, help with economic hardship, or ease the cost-of-living pressures locally. Applications are open for projects which are running between March and September 2024. The AARP Community Challenge provides small grants to fund quick-action projects that can help communities become more livable for people of all ages. In 2024, the AARP Community Challenge will be accepting applications for three different grant opportunities, each described below in the "Grant Opportunities" section.
