Energy Marketers Help With Hurricane Helene Recovery Energy marketers are engaging recovery efforts in response to Hurricane Helene. Because of regulatory waivers that were provided in advance of the storm, marketers did not start the storm recovery with any deficits, and EMA will continue to maintain near constant communication with states in the impact zone as well as the surrounding states. Marketers and EMA stand ready to begin additional recovery efforts once it is safe to do so.

It's important to plan ahead when preparing for severe weather. Some actions can be taken well in advance of a storm approaching, whereas other steps might not be possible until just before the storm arrives. Here are some common preparations to minimize losses to share with investors: - Connect sump pumps to battery backups. - Keep the roof and trees well maintained. - Have a kit of extra supplies (batteries, water, flashlights, tarps, etc.) in case of a loss. When installed correctly and professionally, a solar installation should not negatively impact a roof. In fact, panels can protect the portion of the roof they cover from the elements, potentially extending its lifespan. For example, during Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, many homes with solar panels experienced less roof damage compared to those without. The panels provided an additional layer of protection against wind and debris, demonstrating their durability and added benefit during extreme weather conditions. 🏠🔨 #ProfessionalInstall #NationwideSolar #ResidentialSolar
