44% of employees would consider leaving their current job primarily because of money. 🤔 The accuracy of these numbers may be questionable now, given that the book was published in 2020. 📕 However, employees quitting their current jobs because of money still stand high. And this shouldn't be looked down upon. After all, we put effort and invest our time to bring value to a certain individual or organization. We all very well deserve to make decisions based on monetary benefits. The same happens to organizations like ours, we say no to clients who cannot compensate for our value and time. Sounds fair, doesn't it? So it should be fair for an individual too. If you're looking for a new job and think you should be paid more for your creative role, then contact us. Reach out to us at hr@minimaltweaks.com or DM me. We are looking for the following roles👇🏽 1. Social Media Manager 2. Video Editor 3. Copywriter 4. Creative Strategist PS: Experience does matter but we are seeking curious minds to join our team. Which companies are actively hiring journalists? So much talk about a struggling media industry. It's true we're in a landscape shift, but also true is the fact that tons of industries are hiring for folks with great writing, editing + research skills. Each of these roles - all at companies you wouldn't think of as "media companies" is seeking someone either specifically with journalism experience, or extensive writing/editing/research skills. Boston Consulting Group (BCG) - Editorial Director, AI - https://lnkd.in/g-EgVprN BlackRock, Global Head of Content Strategy - https://lnkd.in/gPtQH-_p National Hockey League (NHL) - Coordinator, Fantasy & Stats Content - https://lnkd.in/gDC7qdaM Glean - Content Marketing Manager - https://lnkd.in/grZxguT3 Sotheby's - Head of Editorial, North America - https://lnkd.in/g8PKGKip Boston Celtics - Team Coverage Associate - https://lnkd.in/g9-jtg_v Also... not a journalism job, but a job in journalism... Towns Of - seeking a CTO, https://lnkd.in/gHX-adqv let's normalize the fact that orgs outside of traditional media are creating amazing content, and creating a new job market for journalists, writers, editors and the like. Who else is hiring? Other jobs people should know about?

This week has been dubbed the "Red Wedding" of television, with massive layoffs sweeping through A+E and Paramount, and the closure of Paramount Television Studios. The studios' mantra "survive until ’25" has quickly turned into "no more in ’24." Many of us in the entertainment industry are now facing a crossroads. Colleagues who were once always booked have no prospects. After nearly 20 years of thriving as a freelancer, this is the first time I’ve been out of work for more than a few weeks. It’s disheartening, but it’s also pushed me to reflect on the next chapter. I’ve been contemplating a shift away from television for some time now. While I wouldn’t trade my experience as an unscripted TV producer for anything—the adrenaline of sitting in an FBI surveillance truck, standing in the same room as a President, collaborating with chefs, wedding dress designers, architects, musicians, and activists, or soaring in a door-less helicopter over the Las Vegas strip (yes, I was terrified)—this wild ride seems to be reaching its final loop. Pivoting is challenging. But if there’s one thing entertainment workers excel at, it’s adaptability. In TV, you don’t get weeks to solve problems—you get minutes. I might not have all the answers for a new role right away, but I guarantee I’ll learn them quickly. My resume might say producer, but I’m ready to prove I’m capable of so much more and can check so many more boxes. The next chapter starts now, and I’m excited to embrace it. I'm looking for a new role in Corporate Communications, within a creative services team or an agency. If you’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure and brings a wealth of experience, I’d love to connect. Reach out if you think I could be the right fit for your team! #CareerPivot #JobSearch #OpenToWork #Communications #Networking #DigitalStorytelling #ReadyToWork
I'll show you mine if...Kidding! Or am I? If you're looking for someone to craft compelling stories for your brand or clients, it's only fair I start by sharing mine. Please feel free to share this with your networks as I am actively #opentowork and looking for a full-time role in #corporatecommunications as a #creativeproducer or #communications director or #projectmanager. Let’s work together! P.S.: If you need an editor, hire Brandon Sanzari, who put this little ditty together for me.

Looking for a job in news? This is a role that will give you: - Creativity to help out in an "assignment desk" capacity. My digital content producers should always be pitching, developing and planning impactful content. You must have an understanding of the elements required to present the full story. - A place to be a self-starter. This is (in my mind) the single most important thing you can bring to the table. Don't wait for others to tell you who to call, what to chase and what questions to ask. You will have flexibility to be aggressive with news coverage and features for yourself and to pitch for our beat reporters in a way you can help maximize story telling. - Space to do the job. Instead of micromanagement, I'm more about macromanagement. You get freedom to do the job, as long as the job is done. Be prepared for -- the possibility of this role covering second shift/weekends. If that's a problem, news is probably not your jam. We don't keep bankers hours. Additionally, this is not a work from home role. You will have the flexibility to work from home during inclement weather and in other situations where we adapt to the day as best as we can -- but be prepared to work in the newsroom. Finally, you need to be a team player and have an eye for detail and a knack for editing (AP style). Interested? >> More: https://lnkd.in/eKgR5-NV Edited to add: This is not a radio or TV job (which seem to be the bulk of our applicants thus far) You must have news experience. #news #journalismjobs #newsmedia #jobs #jobseekers #jobseeking #media #lehighvalley #pennsylvania #pennsylvaniajobs
