“Long Shot for Our Students, But Worth a Try!” Not gonna lie, I usually dodge celebrity sightings like the plague (crowds! 😱😱), but met this super down-to-earth influencer yesterday while Raya shopping! Looks like we're on the same page - weekend shopping chaos is a hard pass! 😅. For Eid, he generously closed his factory and took all his employees shopping!. Who knew festive cheer could bring such a cool encounter? Anyway, two things happened: 1. Thank him for that killer award speech shoutout to education! "Finish your studies, first!" Preach! 2. I know it's a long shot, but had to ask about #internship opportunities. He gets tons of applications, but hey, gotta give them a chance, right? Plus, our Universiti Sains Malaysia EOSH students would be a great fit for his business! P/s: Never would have guessed, but we seem to be the same size! 😬 #networking #Internship

In every conversation with the interns taking part in our 6-month internship program and with their mentors we learn lessons about teamwork. The lesson which Hristo and Vasilena taught us is about the importance of challenging oneself. To challenge oneself and rise to the challenge, to find one’s professional path, to put oneself into someone else’s shoes and admit that we have things to share but we also have things to learn. Our interns and mentors have insatiable curiosity, and this is what makes the program such a great success for both the young talents and their mentors. 🎙️ Vasilena: My internship in Philip Morris Bulgaria helped me acquire teamwork skills and assume responsibility for the assigned tasks. It also taught me about what a satisfactory work environment comes down to. Being part of this team was a real adventure in which dynamism was the routine. I believe that the skills and knowledge I mastered with the help of my mentor and the other co-workers will play an important part in my professional development in the future. 🎙️ Hristo: For me to mentor a young talent represents a great opening into the way in which this new generation thinks and works. From my day-to-day communication with the young people participating in the internship program of Philip Morris Bulgaria I learned more about their perspectives on the various aspects of our business. Transferring experience and knowledge to an intern who is just starting their professional journey was a unique opportunity to challenge myself as a mentor. #insidePMBG

"The Intern" One of my favorite movies, The Intern, starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, tells the story of a retired senior who returns to the workforce through a senior internship program. The film beautifully illustrates the value of experience, mentorship, and intergenerational collaboration. I believe this concept could be effectively integrated into Malaysia’s workforce ecosystem, especially as the country moves toward becoming an ageing society in the coming years. While industries like safety and e-hailing may have adopted aspects of this model, I see potential for it to be expanded much further, as portrayed in the film. Of course, extensive research would be required, including studies on industry acceptance, talent readiness, and the potential impact on opportunities for younger generations or fresh graduates. However, we can’t know the full benefits unless we try. I believe this approach could bring significant positive outcomes, especially in leveraging the experience of older workers to mentor and guide the next generation of talent. #intern #internship #senior #retire #seniorinternship #movie #sharing

PINTAR has acquired Kerja.io, Indonesia's leading marketplace for internships in the technology and financial services sectors, along with its core assets such as career preparation programs and its community of young and talented Indonesian professionals. We will integrate what serial entrepreneur and co-founder Timothy Sam Wijaya has built into our enterprise business segment to connect students globally to internship opportunities and industry mentors to help accelerate their learning. Timothy will join PINTAR in an advisory capacity to oversee #design and #product integration of Kerja.io into PINTAR’s business segment called PINTAR #Opportunity, which is a tech-enabled placement service in which we train workers to land jobs and entrepreneurs to sell product. Launched earlier this year, we have already placed 50+ users and are scaling up with placements in Australia, Singapore, South Korea, and the US. We intend to put particular emphasis on #vocational high schools in Indonesia where students and alumni face challenges in making the transition from education to employment, which is painfully ironic because they have decided to take that applied track in the first place precisely for a better chance at placement relative to their peers on the academic track. #Internships as well as externships, apprenticeships, employer-sponsored projects and the like are important because they offer #experiential learning for young people to build skills, professionalism and networks, and people more advanced in their careers the ability to transition into another function, industry or geography. Fresh out of high school, I started an internship at a fixed income securities brokerage because I couldn’t land a job. There one of the partners noticed my work ethic, resilience and accountability at clerical work and encouraged me to apply for licensure and university. That experience was transformative. It felt like being "discovered." And it set off my career. By acquiring Kerja.io and onboarding Timothy Sam Wijaya, we hope to deliver the same experience to others at defining junctures in their careers. Here is a testimony from Mr. Reino Joseph, now a rising senior at university who was placed at a technology internship in Singapore. If you represent an educational institution that seeks to equip students with valuable out-of-classroom learning experiences that will shape their careers and improve their odds of success in life, come talk to us as we are focused on building a globally #competitive workforce through #partnership. #education2employment #globalmobility #Indonesia2045 #learningforlife

💯𝐙𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬💬🏢 In July, our summer interns had a series of engaging events. Starting off with a Senior Leader Networking Session, our driven and passionate interns had the valuable opportunity to connect with Simon Arnold, the Chief Executive of Zung Fu.🔥Through this session, our interns gained deep industry insights while developing their communication and leadership skills. 🤝 After the Networking Session, our interns had an exciting experience at the DiSC Workshop. DiSC stands for four intriguing personality profiles: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. The workshop culminated in a creative activity where interns with similar personality types presented their own innovative luggage designs to another group. This exercise encouraged them to empathize and understand different perspectives. 🫂 By participating in a brief assessment, our interns not only discovered and embraced their own unique personalities but also gained valuable insights into working and communicating effectively with individuals possessing diverse traits. This underscored the significance of inclusivity within the Zung Fu community. 🤗✨ Lastly, the activities wrapped up with an insightful Company Visit, exploring our different showrooms and garages around Hong Kong. It was a wonderful opportunity for our interns to learn about the automotive industry and the brands Zung Fu represent and gain first-hand knowledge of our operations. 🚗🌟 Overall, we truly wish our interns enjoyed these fruitful events, and more importantly learned skills that would be applicable to them both inside and outside of the workplace! 🙌😍 #ZungFu #internship #networking #DiSC #empathy #openmindedness #CompanyVisit #engagement
