Thank you RSM - Singapore, for granting me the privilege of working as a member of the Technology Compliance Team. As my internship comes to a close, I am grateful for the knowledge and experience I have gained from my boss, Wai Khin HOI. One key takeaway from him was, "The Technology Compliance Team is not just a working force, we are a family." This may seem like a simple statement, but I can see the effort put into making it a reality. When I first joined the department, I was unsure about many things, such as the procedures, how to interact with clients, and how to craft our reports and observations. I was filled with questions and uncertainty. It was during this time that I noticed how helpful and patient my team was in guiding and teaching me. Despite my numerous questions, they never once found me annoying and continued to support and educate me. This sense of belonging was further reinforced by my boss's belief that, "As a team, we will support one another's growth like a family." Like a family, there are times to be serious and times to have fun. Similarly, at RSM, we ensure to provide our best audit professionalism skills to our clients when it comes to work, and we also have enjoyable events such as sports day, in which I enthusiastically participated. The knowledge and skills I have gained from RSM are numerous, and it would take me hours to fully explain everything I have acquired and learned. Therefore, I have summarized the main key learning points. Once again, thank you for having me, RSM! 😍😘

🔹 Tell us what your internship at Philip Morris Bulgaria looked like through your eyes. This is what we asked Yana Radulova, who was one of the young talents to take part in our 6-month internship program in 2023. The interns are guided through this professional challenge by their mentors. Yana’s mentor was Rosi Stoimenova. The two of them are a living proof that career development can and should be embarked on with a big smile. 🎙️Yana: During my internship at Philip Morris Bulgaria, I was able to improve on some useful skills that I will benefit from in my professional development. Working as part of a team and joining in different projects aimed at enhancing consumer satisfaction, providing high-quality customer care, and launching new products I not only met some incredible professionals, but found one big family as well. With every passing day I honed my communication skills, acquired business knowledge, learned how to use market research, retrieve useful information from the data and put it into practice. 🎙️Rosi: To be a mentor is a demanding, challenging and very enjoyable task. The best part about it is to see how the young talent evolves and with every passing day becomes more and more confident, self-reliant, and self-assured before your eyes. There were days when the communication with the intern taught me to be patient and other days when it reminded me of the small things in life. The interaction with Yana made me remember that we should laugh more, be open and catch a break occasionally. #inspidePMBG

Short observation internship versus long-term internship? 😎 Both can serve their purpose depending on the situation, however I am glad ABB in Baltics sails mostly for the long-term internships. It usually takes a few weeks to start to understand where you are, what are the systems used, who are the people around you (or how to use Outlook, if you've never done it). It usually takes a few months to get that strong practical experience in the industry, and do it independently. For me it took even longer, around half a year, to understand how everything else around my own line of work operates - communication, industry trends, learning and development, dynamics of the team. And yes, long-term time investment and growth absolutely means paid internship! It also means we respect your studies as priority and stay super flexible around hours. Here are some quick highlights from Day 4 of the IEUK2024 Business, Operations, and Marketing virtual internship with Bright Network! 🛫 Keynote with British Airways (Mel Richardson MBE (Nee Kose)) 🛬 • Work hard and seize every opportunity. • Push yourself out of your comfort zone. • Network with as many people as possible. • Be ambitious and learn from every experience. • Enthusiasm is key. ✨ Closing Remarks with Philip Yarrow ✨ • No individual is greater than the team. • Work for yourself and give it your best. • Take every opportunity and take risks. 📝 Reflections 📝 I realized how much it pushed me to my limits, especially with the tight deadlines and so many different participants.
