Behind the scenes: 500,000 CLAAS combine harvesters 🌾         First it was a figure, then an idea, and finally a project: half a million combine harvesters. It was a long way from the idea via the design process and finally the finish with special painting and application of the large CLAAS 500,000 stickers – demanding more than one year of preparation and international coordination.    The anniversary machines were designed to build a bridge between past and present through their appearance. The most important eras in combine harvester history were silver and seed green, which were incorporated into the anniversary design in a metallic color. For the finish, CLAAS Industrial Design created large stickers with overlapping "CLAAS" and "500000" lettering. The CLAAS lettering is partially transparent, with hundreds of the familiar CLAAS knotter hooks punched out as a pattern. 🎨    For this anniversary, there was to be not just one, but several anniversary machines. Even countries without production sites should and wanted to be able to take part in this so important anniversary. As a result, the eye-catching machines do not only cause a high attention across German fields in the running harvest, but also appeared at the Ag in Motion trade fair in Canada mid of July and demonstrated their skills to farmers in France, Great Britain, Denmark, Poland and Romania.
