Lets Break down the Silos!! In Nigeria, we often treat healthcare and wellness as separate entities. But what if we told you there's a better way? By synergizing primary care and wellness services, we can create a holistic approach to health that addresses both physical and mental well-being. According to the World Bank, Nigeria loses approximately $1 billion annually due to poor health outcomes. This staggering figure highlights the urgent need for a comprehensive healthcare overhaul. Imagine a system where patients receive comprehensive care - from routine check-ups to nutrition counseling - under one roof. It's time to break down silos and reimagine healthcare delivery. Let's work towards creating a seamless, patient-centered approach that addresses the root causes of illness, not just symptoms. Some key statistics illustrating the gap between our current system and the desired outcome: • Only 34% of Nigerians have access to essential medicines • Mental health disorders account for 13% of Nigeria's disease burden • Chronic diseases now account for 28% of total deaths in Nigeria We can do better. Let's work together to bring accessible, integrated care to every Nigerian, anywhere, anytime. What innovative approaches would you suggest to bridge this gap? #IntegratedHealthcare #WellnessMatters #NigeriaHealthRevolution

Alcohol Use in Nigeria Predicted to Hit 4.00 Liters per Person by 2024 As the amount of alcohol people in Nigeria drink continues to grow, it's expected to reach 4.00 litres per person by 2024. This increase raises concerns about the impact on public health. More alcohol consumption leads to more health problems like liver disease and heart issues. For those working in healthcare, this is both a challenge and a chance. Now is the time to focus on preventing these problems, raising awareness, and offering support to help people who drink too much. By working with important groups, we can create better policies and wellness programs that will help our communities stay healthy. Let's join forces to make sure all Nigerians have a healthier future! 💪🏽 #Healthcare #PublicHealth #AlcoholAwareness #PreventiveCare #BusinessDevelopment #NigeriaHealth #Wellness #SalesInHealthcare #HealthAndWellness #Nigeria #MedicalSalesRepresentative #SalesRepresentative #ProductDetailing Source: Statista

Dr STEEZEEEEEEEEEEE😉😉😉😉😉🏂🏂🏂🏂🏂 Have you seen a steezy, beautiful medical doctor today? By the way, I practice medicine differently.I have a unique approach to medicine. I draw plans to suit my clients' needs. Yesterday, I was speaking with a client, Chief Risk Officer of a bank in Nigeria. As I was explaining, she said, "I also help uncover root causes," and that made me think again, finding root cause isn't limited to functional medicine only. Really, when you look at it, as a chief risk officer , a functional doctor, you can't give a solution to fishy financial or health issues without knowing the cause in the first place. You must know "WHY". I have helped many clients understand and uncover the root cause of their problems. These alone give my clients joy, and they look forward to going on a wellness journey with me. If you really want to stay healthy, you can start your wellness journey with me today. #drseyi #makeup

The holidays are over, and as we enter 2025, it’s a time of reflection and recalibration. Many Nigerians, myself included, find January challenging, grappling with financial strain after festive spending and dealing with the aftereffects of indulgent lifestyles. Statistics show that 60% of Nigerians reduce healthcare spending during this period, while lifestyle-related conditions see a sharp 20% increase in hospital visits. It’s a reminder that health, much like our finances, needs intentional planning and management. This period offers an opportunity to reset. Small, consistent steps like prioritizing hydration, incorporating simple home exercises, and scheduling preventative check-ups can have transformative effects. Early detection of conditions like hypertension or diabetes can prevent costly interventions later, both financially and physically. I believe that starting the year with intentionality towards wellness is not just about extending our lives but enriching the quality of the years we have. As a professional passionate about healthcare communication, I encourage us all to embrace health as an investment, not an expense. Let’s hold each other accountable for making smarter health choices. Follow my journey here as I share insights, strategies, and reflections on how we can collectively shape a healthier Nigeria in 2025.

Reflecting on 2024: From Fear to Purpose As 2024 comes to a close, I reflect on the journey that brought me here. Leaving the conventional career path as a doctor was not easy. The uncertainty, fear, and self-doubt were overwhelming, but the challenges facing Nigeria’s healthcare system were even more so. Rising health disparities, poor life expectancy, and the growing brain drain of healthcare professionals showed me that being just one doctor wasn't enough. I realized I couldn't stand by and watch my country’s health future fade. Nigerians deserve better—a healthier future. My desire for change became bigger than my fear. Wellness Dókítà was born from this urgency, and while the road to starting it has been challenging, the mission keeps me going. This isn’t just about building a business—it’s about improving health and bridging the gaps that have held us back for too long. Yes, I fear what lies ahead. But the need is too great. Nigerians deserve better, and I am driven by the belief that we can make this change together. As we head into 2025, I’m both nervous and hopeful. Nervous about the challenges, but hopeful because we are moving closer to a healthier Nigeria. I also want to express my deep gratitude to the amazing individuals who’ve supported and continue to support this vision. Your belief in the mission inspires me every day. Thank you. Here’s to 2025—a year of purpose, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to a healthier Nigeria. #HealthierNigerians #WellnessDokita #HealthcareInnovation #PurposeDriven #NigeriaHealth #BetterHealth #HealthForAll #Nigeria2025 #Resilience #HealthLeaders #TransformingHealthcare #PurposeInAction
