Gary and I have a history from our time at Bank of America, and I'm thrilled to collaborate with him again! Ok, first off, an 80-hour week is an 11.5-hour day, seven days a week, or 13 hours a day for six days if you dare to take a Sunday off, and he thinks this is treating people with #respect? Second, would you really trust important decision-making to someone who has worked 12 hours a day without a break for, say, three months, or would you be concerned that they might have issues with exhaustion, loss of focus, mistakes, burnout, etc. and therefore their work product might have serious problems, and therefore cost you a horrendous amount of money? I mean, we limit the number of hours a truck driver can drive without a break in order to avoid truck crashes, we have staffing requirements for #medical facilities to avoid staff working double shifts every day and being exhausted to the point they give people the wrong medications, etc. and even the US military is making a concerted effort to reduce #fatigue among service members in order to maintain unit readiness and #efficiency. #workplace #fatigue #burnout #finance #investing #exhaustion
