Professor Michael Papadakis, Consultant Sports Cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic London, recently joined Medical News Today's ‘In Conversation’ podcast where they explored the effects of putting the human body under a lot of stress with extreme exercise. “We’ve known for many, many years that exercise and physical activity in general are good for you”, he said. “But is it possible that if we take exercise to the extremes, instead of being beneficial, it can start being detrimental”.
