A message for physical therapy clinic owners: (I'm gonna do something unpopular on social media; I'm going to defend two generations other than my own...) Gen Z is the future of our profession. Like it or not, they will start filling our workforce, and there are just as many driven, forward-thinking individuals in their generation as in previous ones. Boomers? Yes they are a huge population you serve, and yes they're aging. They're also adaptable and can be expected to get with the times. An energized, enthusiastic staff creates an environment where patients can show up and not dread physical therapy. They can enter a fun, collaborative, maybe even exciting environment fired up to get better Trust me, the older folks will get past the visible tattoos, hip hop playing, the decor, etc. as soon as they recognize the energy and the engagement in your clinic. My exposure to Cerebral Palsy was pretty early in my childhood due to my then-foster brother, now adopted little brother, being diagnosed.
