Introducing Nicole Szabo! As the Publishing Coordinator for Nextgov/FCW and the Senior Strategist for the Client Success team, Nicole works with a host of individuals from across GovExec. We chatted with Nicole to learn more about her job, what she loves most about GovExec, and how she spends her free time. 1. What is your role at GovExec, and what are your primary responsibilities? I am a Senior Strategist on the Client Success team and the NextGov/FCW Publishing Coordinator. In my primary role on the Client Success team, I manage end-to-end campaign execution for a few of GovExec’s largest accounts, delivering white-glove service throughout the process. As Nextgov/FCW’s Publishing Coordinator, I manage all paid advertising and our printer relationship. 2. What do you love most about your job at GovExec? I love working with our internal teams and directly with clients to help deliver large and small programs from start to finish. I strive to make the process as easy and stress-free as possible. The people are the best part of the job. 3. What is one thing that led to where you are today in your role? I have been extremely lucky to have amazing supervisors throughout my career. Out of college, I started in Event Marketing, but after a few years in this role, my (then) boss asked if I wanted to switch to Event Management. This is something I had always wanted to try, so I jumped at the chance. In a short time, I realized my love and passion for program management and working directly with clients. As I reflect back on my career and the 10+ years in the government/contracting space, I realize how passion for what you do, coupled with a great group of people, can take you beyond your expectations. 4. What's one thing you're passionate about outside of work? Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family.
