What does milk & Oreos have to do with cannabis promotions? Imagine walking around your local grocery store and seeing a sign for a milk and Oreo bundle. Which one is the most compelling? ◆ Get $1.00 off total when you buy milk & Oreos ◆ $1.00 off milk when you buy milk & Oreos ◆ $1.00 off Oreos when you buy milk & Oreos The discount $$$ is the same. But they don't motivate the customer equally. Milk is likely one of the reasons you might be going to the grocery store; therefore, it is considered a necessity. While a discount on milk is always welcome, it would likely not motivate you to purchase the Oreos. However, Oreos are categorized as a treat. The $1 off the Oreos can help offset the guilt of a treat, making this the promotion most likely to drive velocity on the promotion. So, in this example, when building a bundle promotion, it's really important to consider what the customer is coming to the store for rather than 'treating' themselves. When is an 28g the milk?
