Corporate jargon can be confusing.

Nobody follows your guidance? Are you sure about that? Maybe they do, but they don't understand what you're trying to communicate. It is easy to assume others are just ignoring our advice. However, many times the issue is simply a lack of understanding. I've observed it many times. Did you know that complicated, hard-to-understand guidance often leads people to avoid asking for advice? Nobody wants to feel lost; when they do, it makes them believe you are not listening. Would you seek advice from someone who does not listen and doesn't make things clear? Luckily, you can start making changes right now! 1️⃣ audit your current communication methods, are they clear and easy to access? 2️⃣ simplify your language (no jargon!) 3️⃣ use different channels 4️⃣ speak to your audience and engage with them Otherwise, you might end up like in the video below.
