Biggest lie spun by Solar EPC companies in India, without exception. "Your solar system lasts for 25 years." No! It's a lie. What lasts for 25 years? Highly likely 1. 5 inverters 2. 1 panel / KW ( if your EPC is an ass**le ) 3. 200 meters of extra DC wires 4. 10 ACDB and DCDB boxes 5. 1000 lightening arrestors 6. Can't help if the structure is damaged - :( 7. Bad installation is like cancer that can't be cured. 90% of EPCs do it. Blah ...blah... Vulgarity is when the entire sector lies together. No sector goes anywhere when early adopters have a bad experience. One of the major reasons for the low adoption of rooftop solar in India is bad CX. This is also the least talked about by anyone in the rooftop solar sector. #solar #startups #climatechange #entrepreneurship

Gravity Energy Storage Developed By Baud Resources. IIT-Kanpur incubated clean-tech startup Baud Resources has developed a gravity energy storage system. The system uses locally available materials such as sand and industrial waste as its payload. The firm plans to build a 100 MWh pilot plant which will offer a levelised storage cost of around Rs 2.5 (USD 0.03)/kWh. This energy storage mechanism operates on gravitational potential energy, without the need for water or dams. As per the startup, the mechanism can be implemented in any location, plains, desert, or sub-zero climate.
