In recent weeks, Synopsys agreed to acquire Ansys in a $35 billion cash and stock deal. Hewlett Packard Enterprise struck a roughly $14 billion deal to buy Juniper Networks. AI and quantum company SandboxAQ acquired Good Chemistry for about $75 million in cash and stock. Expect more activity from corporate buyers, says The Wall Street Journal's Steve Rosenbush in his Pro Take. As interest rates rose over the last two years, companies regained some of their traditional leverage in M&A deals compared with the period of ultralow interest rates, which favored financial buyers because they tended to use more low-cost debt. Mario Gabelli was recently feature in Barron’s Roundtable and shared his valuable perspective on the evolving market landscape. From the narrow tech-led bull market to the potential for increased M&A activity, Mario's insights are a must-read for investors looking to navigate these uncertain times.
