Q: What are your plans for 2024?
A: My plans for 2024 include a move to Germany in January and focusing my time and energy on helping the NexWafe team solve the remaining technical challenges to prepare for large pilot production in 2025 and global scaleup in 2026 and beyond. I will also support the CEO and the Board in our fundraising efforts to position the company for success. Keeping up with global PV technology status will also keep me busy as I travel to speak at conferences around the world.
Q: What do you think is the most important piece of advice for people who want to pursue their career as a business leader?
A: Passion for your industry is key. Without passion you won’t have the drive and the energy to sustain the pace needed to be successful. But coupled with that, you need a good hobby as well. Because when you do have time away from the office, you need something to intensely enjoy, in my opinion. It gives your brain and body the chance to recharge and focus on something besides work. For me, tennis was my passion, but lately it has shifted to bicycling, boating and fishing. It does not really matter what the hobby is, as long as when you go back to work, you have that drive and energy back in your step. 🙂
