🌟 Recently had the privilege of contributing to a transformative event hosted by T-Mobile Biznes Polska organized by ITwiz, focusing on the subject of FinOps. We delved into crucial aspects like Identification, Measurement, Analysis, and Control, essential for an efficient and cost-effective cloud transformation. 📈 We explored the strategic direction towards FinOps and shared invaluable experiences. I was honoured to contribute alongside fellow panelists Wojciech Ehrenfeld from Ringier Axel Springer Polska, Marcin Kubarek from Centralny Ośrodek Informatyki, Mariusz Głębocki from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and Szczeciak Wojciech from T-Systems Polska diving into our experiences in optimising cloud infrastructure. 🔍 The event shed light on a concerning statistic - almost 30% of companies are neglecting to assess the gains or losses incurred from their cloud transformation initiatives. We emphasised the need to evaluate not just financial gains but also aspects like security and enhanced customer service which is very often forgotten in the whole cloud adoption process. 💼 The event was further enriched by the insights of Kamil Atłas and Marcin Kraśniewski from PKO Bank Polski, providing an in-depth look into FinOps strategies. The conversations were enlightening, and I'm proud to have been part of this distinguished panel, sharing insights and perspectives among the #CXOHUB community. It's inspiring to witness the collaborative spirit and commitment to innovation in the realms of IT and cloud technologies in Poland. It was an absolute honour to be able to host our PDM at our newly renovated offices and to meet the rest of our ever growing CPT team. 🚀 Ravisha Sewsunker we cannot thank you enough for your unwavering support. You have been with us since Day 1 and to know that we have had your support as a Startup has given us the ability to evolve and allowed us to grow. 6 months later, with a few visible bruises, scratches and an additional few grey hairs, we can honestly say we have had the best journey so far and as a team, we are proud of what we were able to achieve in 2023. Who made the number 1 of Notion Capital's yearly Cloud Challenger report? Not We Are Learning, that was Wikifarmer ! We weren't all that far behind with our 2nd(!) place out of 9000 companies though, which is pretty frickin' cool! I guess there are others who also believe that creating amazing 3D content in minutes instead of hours is a decent idea. I love the fact that Rolf, Lars-Petter, Atle and Markus took the leap and started this amazing company, and have filled it up with a bunch of people who are nothing short of extraordinary! Looking forward to seeing everything that will be created, taught and learned using our tools in the years ahead, and everything we will achieve! Just wrapped up my 3rd #reInvent, and wow, what an electrifying experience! From diving deep into level 300-400 sessions, engaging in hands-on workshops, to chalk talks that spark innovation, this event never fails to amaze. The commitment to journey from Romania 🇷🇴 to Vegas was colossal, but the payoff, immense. The Grand Canyon side trip was the cherry on top! Networking with the AWS community, exchanging smiles with familiar faces, and planning ahead for the AWS User Group Timisoara's 2024 calendar has filled me with an unstoppable "let's do this" energy. 🚀 Plus, some insider insights: AWS might just be prepping for a 'revenge of the on-prem' with a mature approach focused on cost efficiency and simplicity. 🌟 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗼𝗴’𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗪𝗦 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻! 🌟 #Groundfog had an incredible experience at the #AWSSummit in Berlin! As long-time Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners, we were thrilled to dive into the latest cloud innovations. 🤓 🤝 We kicked off our journey on May 14th with a fantastic Partner Day, visiting the TD SYNNEX booth and reconnecting with Raphael Stieg, Heiko Wolf, and Stefanie Gross. The day was filled with engaging discussions that set the perfect tone for the event. Afterwards, TD SYNNEX treated us to cocktails at the PanAm Lounge rooftop, where we enjoyed breathtaking views of the Berlin skyline and connected with the thriving AWS Partner Community. 📍 From May 15-16 at STATION-Berlin, we immersed ourselves in the latest cloud innovations. The summit featured over 150 sessions on topics like generative AI, cloud operations, and security. Keynotes by Mindy Ferguson, Stefan Hoechbauer, and leaders from TUI Group, HelloFresh, and BMW Group provided inspiring insights into leveraging AWS for innovation. Some of the standout moments were the exciting talks with AWS partner managers Gabriela Kassing, and Rachele Landi, discussing ways to further strengthen our partnership, with a particular focus on GenAI and cloud-native solutions. We also enjoyed reconnecting with Martin Dominguez at his famous AWS playground area, and catching up with Sebastian Grau and Tom Brinker from Ingram Micro. 💬 The discussions around #GenAI and the #AWSEuropeanSovereignCloud were truly captivating. These sessions provided deep insights into the implementation of GenAI in real-world scenarios and revealed the innovative cloud platform that is specifically tailored to the European market. ☁ Further exploration of AWS advancements in developer tools and infrastructure has shown us exciting potential and innovative possibilities for our solutions.
