How does the long term future of cargo transportation looks like? >It has to consider a combination of transport modalities for sure. For that we need to understand Networks! >But #intermodal is complex. Many players interacting at once. Many assets and infrastructure along the way. Collaboration and transparency is key. >It requires government and private sector to work together to maximize its potential, for fast and safe passage. And it requires certain principles, rules and regulations to maintain fairness for all players. >It has to operate with agility and flexibility. The next disruption or major shift in the supply chain could be around the corner. (Pandemics, tariff/trade conflicts, Russian invasion, weather events, etc.). The world evolves and so does the Network. >But we dont have much time, we have current mandates that cannot wait for the future. Like sustainability. In short, its almost like making an elephant spin on a dime! From where can we use lessons to help pave the road towards that future? 🌍𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗔𝗘 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 #DigitalTwins   At this year’s Brückenkolloquium, 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀  and #StructuralHealthMonitoring (𝗦𝗛𝗠) technologies took the spotlight. As outlined in the presented 𝗔𝗡𝗬𝗧𝗪𝗜𝗡 project, Digital Twins are real-time, virtual representations of physical bridges, enabling #PredictiveMaintenance and enhanced safety assessments through 𝗯𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲.     One example showcased was the 𝗡𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲 in Worms, where digital technologies like 𝗦𝗛𝗠 and 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 have transformed a historic structure into a pilot for modern, sustainable bridge preservation. Led by 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘇𝗮𝗵𝗻 and the Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr, the project proves how these technologies can extend a bridge’s useful service life despite structural deficits.     The 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁’𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻  for widespread digital twin adoption in infrastructure management is becoming a reality and at 𝗖𝗔𝗘𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲, our WeStatiX 𝗦𝗛𝗠 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 is already leading the charge by turning sensor data into actionable insights, ensuring bridges remain safe and reliable.     Let’s continue building the future with data-driven solutions!✨   #BridgeManagement #Brückenkolloquium2024

STAX Engineering provides mobile emissions capture and control technology for ports, shipping terminals, and fleet operators. Their patented exhaust capture system attaches to at-berth vessels without any modifications, even in the most congested ports. Once the exhaust is captured, it is filtered, removing 99% of particulate matter (PM) and 95% of oxides of nitrogen (NOx). Importantly, STAX's technology does not produce hazardous waste when processing vessel emissions.
