Ecole Polytechnique, a leading academic institution in France has signed ‘specific agreements’ with both IIT-Delhi and IIT-Bombay to foster profound sharing of knowledge between nations. The agreement was signed while the president and Director General of Ecole Polytechnique, Laura Chaubard visited India during 7th-11th October. It is based on the last year’s MoU with IIT-Delhi and IIT-Madras during PM Narendra Modi’s official visit to France on French National day. An agreement with IISc-Bangalore is underway for which common interests on research and academic cooperation have been identified. The UQ–IITD Research Academy (www.uqiitd.org), an unincorporated joint venture established in the year 2018 between The University of Queensland (UQ) and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (#IITDelhi), aims to support research impact and build a long-term, sustainable, and mutually beneficial partnership with both institutions. While speaking about how the UQ–IITD Research Academy fosters an environment of #academic #excellence, offering robust support for research ambitions and valuable exposure to both #Indian and #Australian research environments, research scholar Ms. Satorupa Karmakar said, "The interdisciplinarity of the program provides a concoction of research and technical aptitude, and the skills provided are broadening my knowledge base." The target audience includes individuals below 35 years of age and those enrolled in a university degree program, regardless of age. ♦️The symposium covers a diverse range of topics, including the processing, characterization, and advanced manufacturing of building materials; deterioration and durability; structural performance; and the environmental impact evaluations. The symposium covers conventional and non-conventional building materials. These include concrete and cementitious materials in general, masonry, timber, bio- and clay-based composites, bamboo, polymers and innovative low-carbon materials applied in construction. All topics related to the themes of RILEM Technical Committees are also included. ♦️This symposium offers a unique opportunity to showcase research at the early stages of your career.
