I'm going to say it even though it may not be popular opinion...in many relationships, there is an unequal distribution of responsibilities. ⚖️ Usually, the imbalance occurs because one partner is more growth-oriented and better able to shoulder more weight. The imbalance can lead to resentment in your relationship, so be sure to have open communication with your partner to identify possible issues. If you are in a relationship where you are shouldering more weight than your partner and you'd like possible solutions and strategies to improve it, use the link below to listen to the full episode. 🎧 Episode #109 of The Conscious Couples Podcast - Which Partner Is Shouldering More Weight? https://lnkd.in/eSy4r62N

Ok, so we convinced you to be curious and try a bit more play in your serious pants adult life. Now what?! How do you get started? Start by booking it in! Then stay the heck away from social media and your phone! And then do something that brings you joy for just 5 minutes. Solo or with a buddy. Heaps of suggestions in the comments of Gary’s post below. Gary talks about booking play-breaks after big meetings to re-energise. Or you can book them in BEFORE big meetings (like job interviews) to get in to a peak energy state (thank you Kalila Lin for that idea!). And if you’re really stuck, book a free 1:1 online play date with our Chief Play Officer Erin Faehrmann 🤸♀️ who can help pow-wow ideas! Founder-led Sales Mentor → Turning B2B Founders into highly skilled sales pros 🎙️ Host, Just Get Started Podcast 📚 Author & Writer 👨👦 Single Dad
Most people have an audacious goal they’ve wanted to try. But they have it backward. Forget the “Big Idea”, it involves too many steps. Think small. Think right out in front of us. The first step, the very first one, should be microscopic. Want to have a big garden? → Take care of a few houseplants this month. Want to create a podcast? → Record one episode of your podcast today. Want to create a community for Moms? → Get a few neighborhood friends together for brunch this week. What is the absolute simplest step we can take to start? If we aren’t willing to do that, how will we ever be able to achieve our “Big Idea”? #justgetstarted

“You made my day!” four powerful words that are often overlooked. We assume others know the impact they've had - we don't need to tell them. WRONG! Sharing our gratitude only takes a minute. Making someone else's day only takes a minute - whether it's holding a door open, an impromptu call to check in, asking how they are doing (not what). To learn more read "Make Someone's Day" by Howard Prager and listen to our People First! Podcast episode. Take a minute now to let them know. I promise only good will come from it! #bettertogether
