Teresa Araco Rodgers spoke at the 2024 SEI Women's Network Leadership Summit today about her journey from SEI associate to creating harp-weaver. She offered the following advice to "Be the Change" at work and in your community: 1. Adopt a learning approach: talk to people, read, & consume whatever is available. 2. Show your passion: Particularly women, and women of my generation, do not downplay your passion. 3. Engage in your community: Don't be passive within the industry or space you are interested in; be an active and engaged community member. 4. Do the hard work: People who embrace a #bethechange mentality do the hard work, invest the time that is needed to be part of the change, and know that it is not a matter of being in the right place at the right time.

Mentorship isn’t just about giving advice; it’s about lifting others as we climb. For Black women in leadership, mentorship creates powerful networks of support and solidarity. It’s a way to navigate challenges while also opening doors for the next generation of leaders. By fostering these connections, we build a future where women in leadership can thrive, lead with authenticity, and make a lasting impact. #WomenInLeadership #Mentorship #LeadershipDevelopment

Introducing: *Rising Together* So, last week we talked about the importance of Women Supporting Women through mentorship and leadership development. In response to that, we are launching *Rising Together;* a mentorship and leadership program designed to empower WAA Community Members and help them reach new heights in their careers and businesses. This is a special Q&A session where we engage some of our women on this platform to share with community members on how to identify their strengths and areas for growth. If you are a woman who need information to stay ahead of the curve in your industry, this is for you. It will be interactive. How can organisations do better, once they have successfully brought diversity of thought and background into their teams?
