If you didn't make the list, perhaps it's time to talk about employment branding and marketing. Research on candidate behavior indicates that candidates are interested in your company's reputation.
While it can be tempting to dismiss lists like these, the reality is that as an employer these impact your ability to attract and hire talent. While many predicted major swings in employment in 2023, many of those fears were simply unfounded. Unemployment stayed near record levels and employees maintained their leverage.
So if you didn't do anything proactive in 2023, perhaps now is the time to get started on updating your messaging, your EVP, your content, your strategy, your recruiting channels, and your tech to make sure you are attracting the right people for your company to be successful this year and beyond.

By doing so, we can take valuable lessons from these success stories and apply them to our own organizations.
Let's strive to create workplaces where every employee feels like they are part of the 'Best Place to Work'.
I've been pondering on this topic for a minute. 🤔
🌘 Just like the eclipse, let's shed some light on the truth behind "Best Place to Work" awards. 🌟
Are those shiny accolades really indicative of a company's greatness? Or are they just fleeting shadows, masking the real essence of workplace culture?
Let's face it, folks. Slapping on a few free lunches and t-shirts in exchange for filling out a survey doesn't magically transform a workplace into a utopia. Sure, it's nice to have perks, but do they truly reflect a company's values, culture, and genuine commitment to its employees?
Let's shift our focus to the real stars in the corporate galaxy. 🌟 Companies that know how to run meetings that aren't just time-fillers but actually add value to the organization. CEOs whose brilliance illuminates every strategic decision and conversation, leaving you with nuggets of wisdom after each interaction.
And let's not forget about fair compensation. It's time to move beyond the standard base pay model and acknowledge the worth of individuals based on their skill sets, not just their geographical location.
So, let's stop chasing the shadows of superficial accolades and start celebrating the true luminaries in the corporate universe. 💼✨ Let's shine a light on the companies that prioritize genuine culture, meaningful work, and fair treatment of their employees. Because in the end, it's not about the awards; it's about creating workplaces where everyone can truly thrive. #RealGreatness#WorkplaceCulture#BeyondTheAwards 🚀
Years ago I saw a post on LinkedIn that listed O2E Brands as one of the best places to work. I didn't think too much of it - I just sort of tucked it away and carried on with my day.
When the day came that I was applying for jobs, the O2E Brands logo stood out in my mind and I remembered that post from years before - and from the very first screening call to each and every step of the interview process I was met with happy people. Enthusiastic people. Empathetic people.
During the interview period I experienced one of the most traumatic days I have experienced in my entire life as a parent, thankfully there was a happy ending - but it really shook me. During one of the interviews, I don't know why but when I was asked how was I doing I just told the truth - and the response I got convinced me that these were people I wanted to work with. I knew if something tough came up in my life - this team would have my back.
Fast forward to today and I can't wait for people to ask me what I do for work - because I love talking about my job, and the incredible people I work alongside. I genuinely enjoy the work that I do each and every day, and it all stems from the incredible work culture that has been cultivated here.
O2E Brands has once again been named to the Global Most Loved Workplaces, and it's easy to see why. Newsweek, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?
In my journey for my next full-time job, I have been unapologetic about saying how I am seeking out culture-first organizations that prioritize mental health and work/life balance.
When companies value these aspects, employees thrive, resulting in higher morale, productivity, and creativity. This not only benefits the team but also leads to exceptional customer experiences. A healthy work culture ensures everyone wins—employees, customers, and the organization as a whole.
