#erratum: in the infographic: where it says revenue in billions it should say millions*

Ten years ago, Boeing was generating $91 billion in revenue with 15% gross profit and $9 billion in EBITDA. Airbus, at that time, had $73 billion in revenue, 16% gross profit, and $7 billion in EBITDA. While Airbus has maintained the same revenue, Boeing's revenue has fallen by $15 billion, bringing the two companies to similar revenue levels.
Airbus, on the other hand, has maintained EBITDA profitability in the 10% range for the past ten years, while Boeing fell to a negative $6 billion EBITDA in 2020 and has been in the $1 to $3 billion EBITDA range over the past three years.
Boeing has also faced significant reputation issues due to multiple incidents, including the 737 MAX accidents in 2018 and 2019, and the Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 accident on January 5, 2024. These events, along with numerous delivery problems, have negatively impacted Boeing's market position and customer trust.
