Coverage stock Barton Gold (ASX: BGD) has pushed the gold resource base at its 100%-owned Tunkillia Project in South Australia to 1.493 million oz (51.3Mt @ 0.91 g/t Au), with a new 115,216 oz Au Mineral Resource at Area 51 (4.98Mt @ 0.72 g/t Au). It represents the third Tunkillia JORC update in ~12 months, adding ~530,000oz Au for ~A$15/oz (on ‘all in’ basis). Approximately 55% of the resource is classified within the ‘Indicated’ category. In terms of next steps, BGD's 2024 exploration campaign will be focused on high-grade neighbouring targets at Tunkillia and Tarcoola, as well as moving towards a Scoping Study for the project. BGD maintains 100% ownership of the only regional gold mill, which gives it optionality around project development, where it is likely to target an initial 2Moz Au Resource and annualised production of ~150koz, with interim production options including leveraging its mill to treat higher-grade Tunkillia ore, and toll-treatment of regional ore. #gold #commodities #mining #resources #exploration #equities #ausbiz

Serabi Gold Plc (AIM:SRB, TSX:SBI) #shares traded higher in Tuesday’s early deals after a project update revealed a potentially extended lifespan for the miner’s Palito project in #Brazil, thanks to a new estimate of the mine’s resources. Palito proven and probable reserves increased "three-fold", Serabi told #investors, increasing to 206,400 ounces from 67,344 (estimated in December 2021). It comes as the estimated grade increased by 11% to 7.78 grams per tonne. It means the mine presently has more than six years worth of reserves at current production levels, before any of the project's estimated mineral resources are developed. Nova Minerals Limited has released an SEC-compliant resource estimate demonstrating a large increase to gold in-pit resources at its Estelle flagship to back up its proposed listing on a North American stock exchange. Neither the 5.17-million-ounce S-K 1300 or 9.9Moz JORC estimate include drilling since March last year, and Nova looks to keep adding ounces and turn to development with the backing of US capital. Shanta Gold Limited said production dropped in its latest quarter in its last update before Saturn Resources takes the miner over. Group output in the three months to 31 March was 21,676 oz (Q4: 27,865 oz) with the mines at New Luika and Singida in Tanzania both seeing production dip. Eric Zurrin, chief executive, commented: "Our diversified asset base across two mines helped mitigate the production loss during the Quarter that was caused by exceptionally wet weather in South Western Tanzania. "Mine plan sequencing, equipment availability and gold recoveries at NLGM were all impacted during the Quarter. Since the end of March, the unusually heavy seasonal rains have subsided and we expect the impact of the new pre-leach thickener at NLGM in Q2 to drive an improvement in gold recoveries. Aeris Resources Limited (ASX:AIS, OTC:ARSRF), a mid-tier base and precious metals producer in Australia, has forecast group copper-equivalent production of 40,000 to 48,000 tonnes during FY25, in line with the FY24 copper-equivalent production of 42,000 tonnes. Alkane Resources Ltd (ASX:ALK, OTC:ALKEF) has completed a strong December quarter, meeting gold production guidance at its Tomingley operations in Central West New South Wales and notable advancements in exploration and infrastructure projects. At Tomingley, gold production aligned with forecasts, reaching 13,182 ounces, with site operating cash costs at A$1,464 per ounce and AISC of A$2,200 per ounce. The Tomingley Gold Extension Project (TGEP) saw a hive of activity with about 17,000 metres of infill drilling completed at the Roswell orebody – results from which will be incorporated into an updated mineral resource in the next quarter. The quarter also resulted in an updated mineral resource estimate for the Boda Deposit at the Northern Molong Porphyry Project (NMPP) to the north of Tomingley, estimated at 583 million tonnes at 0.58 g/t gold equivalent for 10.9 million ounces gold equivalent....
