In partnership with Wates Group and the London Borough of Havering, we are working on the regeneration of the Hilldene and Farnham Estate. As part of this project, we envisioned supporting a budding young student from Havering in pursuing a university education in Architecture. We are pleased to announce that we have generously sponsored Jordanas, covering his university tuition for the first three years of his education. This is an exciting moment for our team. A challenging tight site optimised to maximise density. Whist Phase 1 took an existing planning consent not optimised for modular which we worked tirelessly with DMDmodular to make work, Phase 2 became a masterclass, optimised to reap the benefits of offsite volumetric modular construction. You wouldn't know to look at it, which shows how this approach can really work in inner city constrained sites in the face of record high construction costs.

Developer Olympian has secured funding for its St James House project to build Bristol’s tallest building. The funding agreement with Cain International and Apollo allows construction to advance on the scheme to build a 28-storey student accommodation block and a separate 18-storey co-living homes blocks. Research project in Wolverhampton - please share! Excitingly, I just got my ethics application approved for my dissertation research on the Wolverhampton Ring Road! Did you know, there is very little academic research about ring roads or about Wolverhampton urban planning. That is what motivates me to do my dissertation 👏 I have the chance to ask people in Wolverhampton what they think about the Wolverhampton Ring Road (and do they even think about it at all!?) I want to arrange focus groups with local people and the council. The goal is to find out what people in Wolverhampton think about the Ring Road - would making changes to the ring road make it easier to walk into the city centre? What should those changes be - more cycle lanes? more trees? move the cars underground? get rid of cars completely? 🤔 I need to plan where to host the focus groups and who to invite. If you have any suggestions of venues, existing community groups or people who can help me please tag them or DM me.
