🌟 Reflecting on the profound insights shared on social justice and skills development! 🌟 As Mr. Sangheon Lee stated, access to education and training is essential in a world striving for equality and opportunity. These words underscore the importance of ensuring that everyone has the chance to acquire skills and make meaningful contributions to society and the economy. Lack of access to education and training often perpetuates inequalities and social exclusion, emphasizing the need for investment in training and educational opportunities for all. Moreover, it's not just about providing training opportunities; it's about ensuring these opportunities lead to genuine job prospects. In this task, the role of stakeholders is crucial. Your coordination and efforts are essential to bridge the gap between training and employment, fostering social justice and inclusive growth. Each of us plays a vital role in creating a world where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Together, we can build a more just and equitable society for all. 💡💼 #SocialJustice #SkillsForAll #Opportunity #Equality

The longer I work in inclusive education, the more I realize: equal opportunity is not just about access to education. It’s about changing mindsets and dismantling stereotypes. When I started Clover Foundation, my focus was simple: how can we help children with special needs reach their full potential? Over time, the question evolved: how can we shift society to truly value every child, regardless of their abilities? Every day brings new challenges, but one truth stands out — inclusivity begins with changing how we think and with our willingness to act. What does inclusivity mean to you? #InclusiveEducation #LeadershipForChange #EqualOpportunities #CloverFoundation #SocialImpact

In this week's retrospective spotlight, we look at an article from WIL in Practice, Vol 1. Issue 2, "The Future of WIL: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion". The article focusses on the challenges faced by historically disadvantaged or under-represented groups in accessing and participating in work-integrated learning (WIL) activities. It examines the various barriers encountered by a number of equity groups, ranging from socio-economic disparities to cultural and systemic biases. The article calls for an intersectional approach to addressing systemic discrimination. It also highlights the importance of nuanced strategies tailored to address the unique needs of different equity groups. It advocates for systemic changes within educational institutions, urging for greater inclusivity in curriculum design, resource allocation, and policy formulation. If equitable access to education (and WIL opportunities) is to be achieved, we need universities to step up to the challenge and foster social justice within higher education. The University Accord has highlighted the need for higher education to be much more invested in equity initiatives to attract and retain historically disadvantaged and marginalised groups. Areas within universities that support students from equity groups need to be well-resourced in order to provide the necessary scaffolding to achieve parity. In the current climate of budget cuts, it is difficult to see how universities will rise to the occasion. The future of education and work-integrated learning needs to be much more focussed on diversity, equity and inclusion. Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/gwzhD2-r
