Yesterday, FPC staff attended PGE’s virtual meeting regarding the Harborton Reliability Project. We appreciate that PGE has provided this forum for the community to voice their concerns, however, our staff were not satisfied with many of the answers given to community questions. Questions concerning public safety and future impacts in Forest Park were not given clear answers and overall we were disappointed with the lack of new information provided. Phase 3 of the Harborton Reliability Project, which PGE submitted their application for earlier this month, would allow for the clearcutting of 5 acres of trees in Forest Park. We remain opposed to any clearcutting within the park and are concerned that questions regarding how much future clearcutting PGE is considering have not received clear answers yet. With two more phases of the Harborton Reliability Project in planning, we think that it is of the utmost importance for PGE to provide more details to the public regarding what impact is expected in future phases. We want to encourage you to join these virtual meetings and to bring your questions and concerns.
