Peaceful demonstrations against anti-Semitism and racism have been organized, but unfortunately, violent pro-Hamas demonstrators have disrupted these events. 🚨It's shocking that in 2024, we still witness such shameful displays of hate. Aaron Bushnell, an active member of our Air Force, sacrificed his life to call attention to his/our complicity in genocide. Lyle Jeremy Rubin, a retired Marine veteran who served in Afghanistan wrote this incredibly powerful piece in response. Given the magnitude of Aaron’s sacrifice, I encourage you to read Jeremy’s short article. I’ll highlight one piece here in particular which calls out the supremacy and racism at the root of this horror. Sadly this racism has existed for decades and must be acknowledged and addressed for a lasting peace. “Bushnell concedes that his protest is extreme. And yet it pales in comparison to the extremism it is protesting. An extremism not just of everyday death and destruction, but one that qualifies as colonial domination. It is not only that the Israelis or their patron, the Americans, determines which Palestinian lives or dies today or yesterday or tomorrow. It is that they—we—decide how they get to live or die. With or without shelter or food. With or without gainful employment or a loved one or the capacity to move across this or that otherwise invisible, arbitrary line. It is impossible to connote in a single paragraph the depths of this humiliation, of having one’s bare existence leashed to the whims of an undeserving, self-satisfied master. I enforced a related, humiliating relationship in Afghanistan almost a decade and a half ago, as one of many uniformed humiliators. I still haven’t figured out how best to communicate that vice. I don’t have it in me to say Bushnell has found a better way. The implication of that conclusion is too dark. In my home neighborhood of Scarsdale, New York last night, multiple stores were criminally vandalized with antisemitic and racist graffiti by Hamas supporters. While the paint was quickly removed, and a rally in support of the stores and of Israel is planned for later today, the incident certainly underlines the following: 1. These Hamas and Palestinian protestors are vile lawbreakers who should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. (For those who are not citizens, they should be deported, ideally to Gaza.) 2. The claims of genocide are so patently absurd and yet have found a home due to the moral cowardice of the United Nations and the leftist media who not only don't bother to understand what genocide actually is, don't really care, as long as the accusations help oppose the Jewish state of Israel. Hamas and those protesting for "Palestinians" (a fictional national construct by the PLO, Russians, and supported by UNRWA but derided by the actual Arab nations who want nothing to do with them whatsoever) are among the biggest cowards in history. Hamas hides among civilians and uses human shields, knowing that thousands will die so that they will not. The cowardly nature of these protests and protestors - at night or face covered - confirms both their cowardice and the fact that that they are knowingly breaking the law. 4. Israel is doing the entire world a major service by destroying Hamas and the terrorism it promotes and fosters throughout the world. The current jihadist administration in Iran still needs to be returned to the medieval era it sprang from, and all jihadist terrorist organizations need to be not just dismantled but eradicated from existence. The US and EU can and should do more. 5. If you are not against Palestinian terror and criminal activity in the US and around the world, then you are with them and part of the problem. Claiming a desire to govern #Palestine, their inability to peacefully manage even a single street for sixty minutes speaks volumes. This brief episode mirrors the oppressive nature of a full dictatorship, akin to a microcosm of Hamas or PLO-style governance. Their ambitions stretch to governing #Gaza - Palestine. Yet, in the brief span of their protest, they target Jews in the vicinity aggressively, and any dissent leads to forceful eviction. Symbols of Western alliance - flags of the USA, Canada, and the UK - are forcibly removed in a coercive boycott, particularly against #Israel, leaving no room for differing opinions. Opposition equates to community ostracization. Flags of notorious groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda, and Hezbollah are proudly displayed, alongside individuals with faces concealed, reminiscent of the infamous figures in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran. They open their arms to extremists of all varieties. The anti-occupation protestors have been peaceful, whilst the Israeli police have been brutal, CRACKING SKULLS on cement. They literally turn up and take bits made from a sculpture and say, "WHAT is this?! This could hurt somebody!" Knowing full well it's for an artwork sculpture RIGHT THERE in front of them. Turkish ultranationalists Grey Wolves militias attacking Kurds again, this time in Belgium, possibly many of them Lied that they were Kurdish in order to be accepted in Asylum applications process or Refugees status. None of the Western Governments even considered ones to investigate the claimants who had came from other areas of Turkey, with other Turkish assimilated backgrounds like Laz/Hellas of Blacksea region, has unique accents at talking, or from Eastern Thrace which majority has Greek descent backgrounds but because islamized calling themselves “Turkish”, like Turks in Bulgaria and Turks in rest of Balkans, being Muslim became as same being Turkish. Belgium and other EU Govs, also USA and Canada, must ban Grey Wolves movement as Terrorist group, which its members joined Chechen terrorism, Afghanistan mujahideen, ISIS in Syria which twitter/X and Facebook has tons of videos of pictures, even some of them returned Turkey, taken pictures with Erdogan and several Ministers. All still available on the internet. But just because Kurds are stateless that means also voiceless, none of the Western Govs taken these issues seriously. A manual for a modern version of Kristallnacht . . . advising so-called “pro-Palestinian activists” how to identify and attack (i.e., commit crimes against) targets that support Israel. As Michael Osborne notes, while the primary targets are Jews, they are not limiting their targets to Jews. As the article explained, this manual and these concepts started in Britain (we have seen the struggles Britain is having dealing with these mobs) and they have now made their way to Canada and the US. Is this really a surprise with the criminal activity we have been witnessing since October 7 and which has been escalating in severity and pervasiveness since then? Let’s be clear - while these people claim to be “pro-Palestinian,” they are not out to support Palestinians; they are antisemitic, anti-Israel, and, as many people have warned, they are anti-Western civilization (e.g., against democracy, against the principles of equality, against the rule of law, against capitalism). They even now brazenly boast about their disdain for the US, Canada, and the West. There have been examples where this lawlessness has not been taken seriously in front of police, and by many college/university administrators, where we are seeing most of this activity (almost as if colleges/universities were a testing ground). This cannot continue to be taken lightly. Just as right-wing extremists who seek violent racial wars are (rightfully) considered domestic terrorists, these people should be treated as domestic terrorrits as well (and some of them (perhaps even many) are not even “domestic”).
