In today's world, sustainability is becoming an increasingly important issue. Many companies, including commercetools, are facing the challenge of optimising their supply chains and determining and reducing their #ecological footprint. However, I often see that these measures and developments come from the strategic planning departments of companies and rarely reach the actual implementers of these measures - the employee! We at commercetools have a different approach here; we don't just try to set our emissions targets and achieve them through corporate measures. We involve our employees in the development of our targets and try to create awareness for more #sustainability among everyone through our annual GreenWeek. This years topic "The Impact of small waves!" - provided us with various ideas of sustainable behaviour in our daily life. Through an external speaker, we have gained additional ideas for our product developers and UX designers on how we can contribute to our green sustainability goals, e.g. through code efficiency measures. As lead of the hosting employee resource group ‘#PlanetEarthAlliance’, it was a pleasure to see the many ideas and approaches of our colleagues with their GreenWeek video clips. Here, our employees actively participated and presented their own local initiatives. I am already looking forward to planning GreenWeek for 2025 and continuing on the path to greater sustainability with this amazing group of #colleagues and #commercetools.

Today is EARTH DAY - a reminder of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability. As humans we all have a part to play in being more environmentally aware and at FaberExposize UK we continue to do our best to reduce our environmental impact as a business and we encourage others to do the same. Our planet saving Action Now initiative was formed in 2018 to help achieve our sustainability goals. As part of this initiative we changed how we operated our business for the good of the environment. We still have a lot of work to do, but having our Action Now initiative in place makes us evaluate our practises regularly so we can continually improve our business.
