Meeka Metals Limited has owned the circa 500,000 tonne per annum facility since purchasing it from Silver Lake Resources for just A$8 million in early 2021, as part of a plan to shift then-microcap Latitude Consolidated from explorer to producer. #MEK delivered an initial scoping study just 10 months after purchasing the plant, when gold was trading around $1800 per ounce, around $600/oz higher than it was when Andy Well last operated in 2017.
