In a world of pushing employees towards online self enroll, I found this SHRM study very interesting. Having been in the benefits/communication & education/face to face meetings world for 26 years, I have found that you can help an employee more by sitting in front of them and explaining how the benefits work along side their ancillary and medical. So many employees don't understand what they are and how they fill gaps when they are online going through their medical enrollment so they just click NO without reviewing. I know the workspace is forever changed, but I will always push to sit in front of an employee and help them pick the best plan to fit with their medical and their families needs. That is truly the most important part of what we do!! Of course we can zoom, teams, call center, etc. for those employees not on site. That technology is not new, believe it or not. But something about looking in to someone else's face to make sure they got what they needed.... #employeebenefits #employeeengagement #hr #humanresources #employeeretention #employeeattraction #SHRM
